A fan of both bands, but Entombed's riffs are simply badass

These two bands have created some of the most legendary riffs in my life, I could never choose between them.
Dismember is way more grim and evil, I love it!
For me the HM-2 sound can't get more evil than in Left Hand Path...but Dismember is amazing too.

Yep, but unfortunately, "that" sound is on their first album, all others are a pale shade of "stream"
Left Hand Paths tone obliterates anything Dismember has done
To me Grave will always be the superior band
My first venture into Death Metal was back in 2001 when I bought an Entombed compilation cd and was hooked. Nowadays I still love my Swedish Death but also a huge fan of BM and Black Thrash. 56 and my knees are fucked up but still love all things Metal 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Oh man, I really love Entombed, I first heard them in GTA 4 The Lost and Damned, and I think since that moment death metal has been like my favorite genre.

It sounds garbage on its own. Needs to go into an amp thats already a bit distorted and needs a few layers of guitar to really kick ass. Most of the left hand path tone comes from the layers in production
Results will vary... you max it out into a 5150 and it's terrible

Entombed is great and all, but Dismember is clearly the superior band.
lmao nice joke. Entombed clearly has the better riffs, drumming, vocals and albums by far. Left Hand Path > LAEFS, Clandestine > Indecent and Obscene, and don’t even get me started on wolverine blues. Dismember is great too, but Entombed is one of the greatest death metal bands of all time. Not even close.

Sounds awesome, one of my favorite guitar tones ever, but...amp EQ settings? If ever I want to try and duplicate this guitar tone, that would help me a bit.

It's really nice mixing the sound of modern high gain amplifiers (EVH 5150 III, Mesa Boogie Dual Recto, Marshall JVM 410H, Diezel VH4, PRS Archon, Engl Powerball, you name it) with the Boss HM-2 or the Boss MT-2 in the front of a shitty clean transistor amp to add multiple layers of tracks in the mix and create that huge wall of sound. The only problem there is fitting the bass and all the masking issues in the 100 hz - 350 hz spectrum. Too much harmonic and intermodulation distortion bring those kind of issues... but once solved is death metal eargasm.
Stockholm sound, the best sound there is :-)

Using rectifier is cheating,try it with line 6 spider amp and make it sound decent.thats how most of us used it when it first came out.Next video should be metal zone pedal with line 6 spider.
