1:17 you are a great guitarist and have the skills I will never be able to acquire but I cannot possibly tell you how much I disapprove of your choice of foot wear
this is a pretty old comment but it vaguely sounded similar to some stuff by this band asobi seksu. particularly their album citrus, I recommend you check it out.
Ahhh ye my man. One of, if not, the, most avant garde pioneers in the art of guitar when it comes to making amazing music from effects that just aren't normal and/or traditional.
I remember watching the first one and thinking it could get weirder, now this is getting more in there. Still a couple of weird pedals out there, that might arguably be weirder. But a few of these is on my certified weird pedal list. It also depends on where you draw the line, some get weird from just their feature set like that pitch controlled trem. I'd suggest looking at things like: Malekko Scrutator with an expression pedal. Pladask Fabrikat. WMD Geiger Counter. Walrus Audio Janus. Mantic Effect Flex Pro (or the Earthquaker Data Corrupter for a more accessible pll).
That Strat is beautiful! On a side note, the first pedal was quite interesting and you could have put a half 'fleur-de-lys' or even none for the Habs part... greetings from Montreal... (head in a paper bag emoji)
Every time I watch these videos as a noise musician I can't help but wonder what they would sound like feeding back by having it plugged into the input of the amp and the headphone jack in the back. Maybe you can do a video of this? That would be unique and cool to see how all the pedals in this video you have done feedback when done in that way.
@@bathrobeman66 if you plug in the pedal like normal and then take the end that should go into the guitar and plug it instead into the head phone jack in the back of the amp you than get feedback coming out of the amp sounding like the pedal and when you mess with the knobs it'll change the sound. Usually anyways. I have a pedal that really doesn't do that but otherwise for the most part from what I've seen this works. Also it's fun to try. Just make sure your amp isn't too loud because sometimes you get a really loud noisy screech and sometimes it's just fucking so noisy and bassy or whatever that it quakes shit a tiny bit. Atleast the amp.
I bought the interstellar orbiter about 4 years ago, haven't used in a while, but it remains one of my favorite pedals of all time due to its sheer uniqueness. Glad to see it on this list!
Earthquake Devices also makes a pedal called The Rainbow Machine. It's pretty out there. If you ever make a third video like this, please check it out!
Got the Gamechanger Audio Plus coming my way. Finally a sustain pedal which I find to be cool, useful and the amount of features leave loads of room for experimentation.
I just started to try and pick up the guitar again after 4 years of not playing. I'm still an absolute beginner but I love to watch these videos while my fingertips are recuperating between practices.
I watched one of your other videos about useless guitar trinkets and thought your channel was a bit boring, but after seeing the segment with the count to 5 your deadpan delivery had me in stitches. Subscribed and keep up the good work!
The Offspring used something like that pitch-modulating delay pedal (the blue one) on the song Pay The Man! I've been looking for a pedal and/or VST that replicates the sound and I've yet to find one
no way am i into guitars but atm im learning the piano. just came across your channel by chance at your weird guitar aids/gadgets and i must say your reviews are wildly entertaining and had me in stitches. keep up the good work and continue making people like myself laugh out loud.
That sustain pedal has been done by EHX already in their "Freeze" pedal. Also...There's a pedal version of the Vibrophase... You're also missing the WMD Geiger Counter Distortion.
Yeah you'd expect unique technology with a niche target audience built by boutique pedal manufacturers to be cheap. _There simply isn't enough sarcasm in the world to emphasize my comment_
Had a Gamechanger pedal, the Bigsby. Great concept, I loved it. However, it crapped out a few weeks after it's arrival. Everybody was very helpful with a warranty return/replacement. It just took quite a while to get a replacement as Gamechanger is based in Eastern Europe. Again, they and the seller were extremely helpful with the return, it just took a long time.
Very cool video....btw u took the high road with Montreal fans lol, i try to but man they always kicked us when we were down, so sometimes i dont sympathize with how shitty their team is doing lolol......The sustain pedal is really bad ass, i def will be in the market for one.........Great job man. Count to five: exists
Lo-fi artists: I'll take your entire stock
Imagine playing rain on that
I love It so much
I feel like the count to five pedal could be a really cool sound for shoegaze. Put on a light overdrive and reverse reverb and im sure itd be amazing
Dude, this pedal is tight. Lo-fi is tight. Your comment is tight.
"Mulan looking idiot"
That cracked me up a bit.
I can't tell if people are just trying to joke or are actually racist.
James Russell it's a joke unless he deems it offensive.
Well to be honest I wrote that comment myself, but it was inspired by many similar ones I've seen
I guess the thing is that I've been hearing similar jokes that seem to be people trying to shirt the line.
It was really funny and I felt really bad for laughing lol

Hendrix would give a kidney to get these avant garde pedals
Could you imagine what he would've done with this stuff?

But who would´ve wanted Hendrixes kidney? Maybe for a display.
