I also took Veronika Lawlor's workshop and it's mazing to see it through your eyes, since you have capture a lot of aspects that I miss. I hope to see you soon in the future to sketch together!!!
I think he is using a Winsor & Newton Sable # 7 pointed round and a Da Vinci sable # 4 mop brush. In his book The Urban Sketcher that is what he says he carries with him.

I love how you bent the Chinatown arch and the acrylic markers with the ink. The sketch on the newspaper is terrific!
