Definitely the starter clutch and you need a flywheel puller and replace both of them the flywheel and the starter clutch I know you probably already did it just a heads up to the people that are watching the video
Hey bud i just bought what i was told is a Suzuki baja extreme 300cc.. my starter sounds if its free spinning im thinking starter clutch.. any idea where to find the parts i need?
I just put a new starter on my ltr450 cost$600 at a shop said their was 2 kinds of starter's did I want the cheap one @$600 or the expensive one at $950....I picked the $600 one. It Started my four-wheel 4 times 1months later the starter sounded like it crumbled to pieces..... I can't afford to fix again 30 days later......now I just roll start it runs fine......It would be more cool if I could just hit the starter button it just clicks now.... It should of came with a warranty should of lasted longer then a month...fastest four-wheel I've ever been on tho...80 mph in 4 seconds.

What did you ever find out on the quad. Just bought a ltr yesterday the starter sometimes grabs but won't start it

Kunklenator's Garage does it come off the flywheel our did you have to buy the whole flywheel and ring gear?
It comes off the back of the flywheel. You'll need a flywheel puller. It sounds like your starter clutch is going bad
Does it come off the flywheel?
Was the flywheel bolt reverse thread?
