    A beautiful highlights to me because I frequently spent days with out penny in my pockets, but when I eventually got some money, I feel happier and grateful. So I do experience and feels the contrast. Thanks for the well informed knowledge.

    You're correct, life went through seasons. Winter is cold ,spring is hope summer Is hard,autumn is preparing you for the cycle to happen again

    Very interesting. It makes me more sad because it reinforces my theory that life is not about finding happiness: it’s about avoiding suffering. And it’s a losing battle. If we must suffer to feel happy, then suffering ultimately wins no matter how you spin it.

    Such a well put concept. It’s a much larger perspective than what we hear about happiness on a daily basis. Loved this ! And thanks for putting it the way you did it ❤️

    1.) Enjoy the moment along this journey rn
    2.) Contrast, makeyeourself uncomfortable to feel happier during little things like work hard and eat shit then have great meal and it will feel 10/10

    What if you lose an arm or a leg, can you bounce back?

    • @JimmyNaraineOfficial
      @JimmyNaraineOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hopefully, won't happen to us, but there are some very inspiring stories out there of people who did just that

    • @stanleymakafui
      @stanleymakafui 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This lost arm or leg wouldn't make you sad forever. Remember, hedonic adaptation isn't only applicable to positive feelings. We get back to our happiness baseline from negative experiences too.
      You might get really really down but you'll not stay there forever.

      There was a study done with lottery winners and people who ended up confined to a wheelchair. Their immediate responses are what you would expect, but in the long term their level of happiness ended up being the same.

    Is this the same with marriage?

    • @JimmyNaraineOfficial
      @JimmyNaraineOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that this applies in all areas of our lives and this is why we should always consciously work on how we perceive reality + the appreciation for the things we take for granted
