Club penguin may be dead. But we all are doing our best to keep it revived. Sure some players may leave and some may stay. In the end, it's just a neutral future and it is what it is.
All I can say is, we have to accept the end. Every end comes with every new beginning. There's still a lot of games you can play, some are even inspired by Club Penguin such as Roblox and Minecraft. That being said, we're not 100% in the bad ending just yet, there are still plenty of other Club Penguin private servers you could play (it's not as good as CP Rewritten but hey, at least the nostalgia is still there)

We're trying to cling so hard to the carcass of something which was - and is - so dear to us, but, like those who've moved on, we have to realize that not everything lasts forever. It was so great while it lasted, but we have to move on now, too. Club Penguin might've ended, but it will forever be cherished and engrained in our generation's memories.
The private servers were doing great until around april of 2020 when the owner if CPO was found out to be a pedo and private servers have had a bad reputation since then. Personally I think people have been brainwashed into thinking that a centralized internet is good because it’s “more secure”. CPO already had many controversies & only beat CPR because it had more articles about it (which were very inaccurate).

Assuming the maintenance fees every 4 years after filing (when they bought the brand) don't count for extra ownership time, their IP rights to club penguin last 20 years. IP rights in America expire 20 years after filing (in their case, refiled under their trademark and Copyright (this is regardless of whether the IP is active or not)). so Disney's rights to Club Penguin will expire in 2027, 20 years after they purchased the rights to its IP (assuming the Mouse doesn't renew it until 2047, and so on). There's 3 main factors to inspire hope; the IP hasn't been active since 2018 when Club Penguin Island shut down it's servers and the Developers closed their doors, they've been unwilling to use it since 2018 (and unwilling to sell it in the years since its final official use), and the Extremely low chance they'll renew the rights to an IP which has been officially deemed inactive by the IP owners and has been (legally) unused for 4 years now, so its likely they'll return its rights to its original owner, RocketSnail. once August 5th, 2027 comes, Disney will have 4 choices: Renew its IP + their rights to the brand and revive it, Renew its IP and their rights and ignore it, sell the IP and rights, or return it to RocketSnail. Someone else already mentioned a One Day ending with the ability to log back on original CP for one single day to get your old account and all your stuff back, but I’m going to expand on it
The one day ending, but after that one day, it merges into the beautiful ending. Disney shuts down all CPPS’ with no way to bring them back or make any new ones, however in return, they bring CP back for a day, and after this, they set up a giant event to remember Club Penguin with fans posting their favorite memories and parts of the game. Many of us also forgot the exact day we joined, so a one day option could give us the ability to see the exact day we joined.
I know it’s not realistic but I’m just trying to come up with a good idea whilst dying on the inside since we are at a mixture of the sad and bad ending. Yes I know New CP exists but still we’re pretty much 99% in the bad ending

I get that CPR broke the law and they had a legitimate reason to get sued… Plus the fact the Club Penguin Private Server community is already at thin ice with Disney, I’m sure we’re in the Beautiful ending. Since, like, we all agree the shutdown was because of the ads, right?

Shutdown Ending: The internet is somehow able to hack back into the original Club Penguin servers but only one is archived, when they log on the island is the same as from Club Penguin Shutdown, the players are left to keep their penguins surviving in this harsh reality.. Ultimate ending: Disney reopens a brand new and better than ever copy, and to make the game even more better, they sell tons of new things to fund the game and make it amazing!

@@areelcamel the game was pretty bad. Not just cause it’s the reason the original game shut down, but also because most features were locked behind membership (more than the original game).
There also wasn’t much promotion about the game

Best ending of all:Disney sells the rights to company and everything comes back the players come back the merchandise comes back and even club penguin island comes back and comes better than ever before then a full length movie comes out and club penguin never stops getting millions of players every month leaving games such as roblox into a thing of the past
