Disney still is. From what I heard, Disney only went after CPO. It was rumored that Disney was also going to target CPR but the CPR team said that hadn’t happened yet at the time and if it were to happen that they would comply. CPR came out the other side untouched.

There was a private server called Club Penguin Island Forever which recreated the original game. However it was sadly shut down due to not getting many players probably because of the original CPI’s bad reputation during its run.

I didn't know all of what was going on, but as soon as they added a "mature server" where people were allowed to swear, use derogatory and sexual language, etc., I knew it wouldn't be long before it came crashing down. Disney is very protective of their property, even stuff they're not currently using, and there was no chance that they would be allowed to continue with that even if Riley hadn't been a predator

God, you're gonna have a field day if you find out about Toontown Online and it's history with fan servers. More peaceful nowadays, it once turned into harassment, doxing, hacking and bomb threats.
Really? Need to check it out. Any specific people or names I should look up?

- One private server called Toontown Infinite was responsible for hacking two other private servers, Rewritten and House. There were also rumors that Infinite installed malware on people's computers, but that may or may not have been false.
- Toontown House, one of the previously mentioned servers, actually DID install malware, specifically a keylogger
- There was some drama a few years ago about the Toontown Rewritten dev team hoarding never before seen content from Toontown Online's development, such as unused design concepts and footage of early gameplay.
- There was a spat between the head moderator of the Toontown subreddit, OtakuSRL, and I think one or two other people, which resulted in him doxing one of them and getting them fired from their job, then going on a power trip in the subreddit by deleting everything and preventing people from posting, which got so out of control that the admins had to get involved.
I hope the Club Penguin fan server community is leveling out after these rough years

I will never forget Lily0926…37. We met in the late 2000’s. On Club Penguin.
Everything was going well. We’d go around everywhere. The pizza place, dojo, disco club, the plaza, and the iceberg… But then one day she did the sad/hurt emoji and I asked, “What’s wrong?” And she repeated it. She kept only responding with the hurt emoji and waddling away from me.
Then I started waddling after her spamming the hurt emoji. It was at the iceberg when I last saw her. She did the hurt emoji once more and logged off.
She didn’t log back on for what felt like weeks… And I waited until eventually I saw her online. Sadly the penguin population was full for the one she was on and I couldn’t meet her… That was the last time I ever saw her log on.
And that was the first time my heart was broken. I remember being upstairs in my room and wanting to cry. lol. I was like 9 or 10 years old.

I had a friend named IceyAlly an CCReider(57?) I forget the number after his name.. We would always hang out. I actually played with CCReider on xbox live a few times, but never got to say goodbye to Ally.. My penguin was StormyNormy, but now I have a penguin named Penguinboli on CP Legacy cause I guess StormyNormy didn't pass their filter standards.

Everyone ran away from cppsed because of online and rewritten. So far the most trustworthy is new club penguin and imagined while legacy is a grey area

Also Club Penguin Rewritten was shut down due the mods illegally monetizing the game with ads. But no one really knows that so that’s why you see many former players defending and romanticizing it without really knowing what happened behind the scenes.

Learning all this, it makes me sick that i used to play and support Club Penguin Online. I learned about what happened in news articles after the shut down, but i didn't know it was this bad.

Can you make a video on Club Penguin Rewritten? It was shut down due the moderators illegally profiting off the game with ads. There was also other sketchy behind the scenes.
Vaguely heard about the sketchy stuff and originally was gonna mention it at the end of the video. Couldn’t find as much definitive stuff as Riley had out there so I decided to cut it
What else sketchy? There was that one rogue admin whose threats caused the 2018 shutdown, but the staff united against him and since then he’s been out of the picture

Boy, I haven't heard the name Virtual Penguin in years... I used to be quite active there and wanted to be a moderator, I was applying to be a moderator but was turned down because I was too young. I eventually stopped being active and never heard of Virtual Penguin again. I never knew it was renamed to Club Penguin Online, and I DEFINITELY did not know the stuff that went down there. It's a bitter feeling now.

I was not a victim of Riley, but rather one of the pedophiles that was let into the server, there was several of them but one of them caused me the most trauma. I was around 12 or 11 years old at the time, and was feeling lonely, so, I went into the pizza parlor. There was a group of boys there that I started talking to them, one guy asked me to go to his igloo with him. His username was "bunno" and... he basically made me do stuff with him, or else he would self harm. And I felt obligated in it. I'm 15 years old now, and it still scars me to this day
