His popularity ratings have taken a dive in the past six months, but has the most recent behaviour displayed by Real Madrid’s Luka Jović, during the global Pandemic, condemned him to a villain status? Tifo asks, what’s going on? How did Jović go from hero to villain in such a short space of time?

As a serbian i want to say that most people here aren't considering him a "villain". It was rather a "disappointed" attitude after his mistake. Most people still like him.
I can also explain why he wasn't picked often for national teams,it is indeed because of what you said in the video but also because our forwards like Mitrovic are more experienced and we rely on them more. Jovic will go on to do great things,im sure of it.

I’ve been following Jovic for a few seasons now and it is clear to see this guy can become one of the greatest strikers in his generation. He isn’t afraid to play in different countries and at a young age has already played for some of the greatest clubs in Europe. Very few players thrive at Real especially the younger ones. I believe Jovic is ideal for the Bundesliga or Premier League and if he gets a chance to go he should take it. I just hope he has the drive to stay grounded and stay away from the ‘celebrity’ life.

Uh I agree especially due to the fact that this generation of athletes seem to be less driven than before, mainly due to social media etc. However, it is good thing that he has got the Real Madrid thing out the way at an early age. One example of a youngster leaving Real and having an illustrious career is Samuel Eto’o. Let’s hope Jovic leaves Real and gets going again.

We thought that he could be not only one of the best players Serbia saw since Stankovic but we also thought that he could be a great role model for the kids here. Sadly that is not the case. He is just starting to look like a kid that got rich and thought that is bigger than the world. I really hope that he will turn it around somehow and show why we loved him so much.

Honestly Luka Jovic was never a hero in Serbia. He wasn't hated or anything, but he hasn't proven himself in Serbia much. He wasn't a member of the U20 team that won the world cup in 2015. He didn't do much in Red Star or the national squad. Dusan Tadic or Aleksandar Mitrovic are way more respected. Luka Jovic is viewed just as any other football player that needs to prove himself.

Actually I was opposing his move to leave the club last year. It was true that he had a good 2018/19 season. However, I felt that it’s bit too rush to leave the club because he only had one good season. I knew it’s hard to resist when the TOP clubs wanted you, but he should’ve just stay for at least 1-2 more year to develop and further improve his abilities. Real Madrid is a dream club that almost Football play dream to play in. But honestly the club already have starter and substitute striker. So no doubt hjovic won’t get time to play, only play in limited minutes or Spanish cup games. He is a young exciting prospect, and I really want him to get back on track and success. If the club don’t suit you, it’s best to leave the club on loan or transfer to new club for more game time. You only will develop and improve if you get game time.
    Keep fighting Jovic !

He should just move out, build his reputation back up at a less popular club where he could perform with nothing to lose. Maybe Eintracht Frankfurt was perfect for him because they're never expected to be any better than contending for the Bundesliga. It's not like suddenly moving to Eibar would lose him his national team berth. He's by far the future for Serbia up top.

Real Madrid are just incredible. Imagine paying £60,000,000 for a player to keep on the bench. In hindsight, Jovic would’ve been better off staying at Eintracht. I am a Chelsea supporter and was at the bridge for our europa league semi second leg. They were a very good team and he was a player that I was very wary of going into that match. I think that if they kept this squad together, they could’ve pushed for trophies in short time. In fact, had they knocked us out in the semi, I suspect that they may well have beaten Arsenal.

@@SA-pj3fz If he got more chances, he would surely do something, as in Germany, it is superfluous to talk about Benzema, because it is obvious that when he is doing badly, Zidane pushes him into the fire, and everyone plays on him, we in Serbia say that in the cauldron. Just look at the skeleton of Real and you can see who Zizu is forcing. For the whole world, Benzema is a goal scorer who only scores goals if he is in five meters, but it is superfluous to talk about tastes

Za Splambasten Only scores goals when he’s 5 meters? That’s completely incorrect. Benzema is naturally a playmaking striker so he drop deep, helps defend, and helps create the play. Jovic is primarily a poacher, that’s it pretty much.
Benzema is the top scorer in the team regardless, and without him, Madrid wouldn’t play so well.
