IYKYK is sampled from "Prism" by m-flo, a japanese hip hop dou. I appreciate Simon adding his modern twist to the new version and the production team for keeping the concept relatively close to the original mv. Please do check out m-flo "HyperNova", it's their 1st release single after a long time.

@@YahYah06 I don't know if you guys reacted to or listen to the remix of "Woke Up". Where XG feats japanese and korean rappers. But one of the japanese rapper in the Woke Up remix, his name is Verbal. He's a part of m-flo. Verbal was also a rapper in a hip hop group, Teriyaki Boyz. If you guys know the iconic song, "Tokyo Drift" yep, that was also his group.

To give you a crash course into XG:
They are not fully K-pop or Jpop
They are Japanese group founded by a ex Kpop Idol (Simon / Jakops) under the Japanese label AVEX
They are a Japanese group trained under the Kpop system which is modeled after Motown
They aren’t considered either Kpop or Jpop because they don’t sing in Korean or have full Korean members (except for Hinata she is half Korean) so they don’t get considered Kpop by the Korean market, but they aren’t Jpop because they don’t fully promote in Japan to the Japanese market
Instead they are known as a Global Group or X Pop as XG has labeled themselves
Their music is meant to be accessible by everyone but still have a touch of everything, they take a lot of inspiration from TLC and early western artists
Their breakthrough hit was Shooting Star and Left Right, if you must listen to something next try those,followed by Mascara, also listen to Vox 1 that is the vocal line’s introduction. they are their most acclaimed songs followed by Woke Up

As a genz, I can't relate to growing up on those games but my dad introduced me to Bayonetta and I love it. We enjoy a lot of things and are pretty diverse, I didn't think I'd like a lot of the things he's introduced me to but I love them (borderlands, Pokemon, monster hunter, Naruto, etc)
