I don't promote beer but when Raila came to the rescue of one lady who owned keroche as the government demanded a tax equivalent to the whole company as Raila quipped, I found it ridiculous, then I realized how Kenyans grown is in an uphill, we have an affinity for the foreign, how many can remember? I also remember this guy very bitter about everything in a certain interview he vowed never to invest in Kenya ever again, I hope he changes his stance and reconsiders, we need him.

Nice insights by Peter Kuguru. Taking youths to foreign countries, especially unskilled or semi-skilled, is a big injustice. The broken family ties between parents and their young children are irreparable and the income earned is never enough to allow them to return and invest back home. Creating a conducive environment and supporting local entrepreneurs is the way to go
This is the darkest side of jobs in abroad, esp gulf countries, but people back home will never understand. They always see the money part of it, which is never enough anyway, but the time spent away from family and loved ones will never be recovered 😮
It would be best if young Kenyans could see the opportunities available to them to start with small capital. Kenya still has many many opportunities of businesses to start with less than 100k kshs, even with 10k kshs!

Multinationals will never allow africa to be independent because to them we are a market and a producer of raw materials. Thats why Mosanto is salivating over Africa and trying everything to get rid of indigenous seeds. On top of that the alcohol industry is a trillion dollar business and any attempt to produce local brew is met by resistance from govt. officials in the name of countering illicit brews who are sponsored by huge western brands. E.g Uhuru received visits to statehouse by European alcohol brand ambassadors disguised as dignitaries and the next day chiefs in Central kenya raided villages and overturned maize plantations in the name of combating illicit brews. That's why if you go to a local pub over 50% of alcohol being sold is foreign and we have been brainwashed into thinking that taking foreign is synonymous to being successful.
Plus in Kenya, they discourage gava in business yet their multinational corporations are heavily funded by gavas money......how can private sector compete with almost inaccessible bank finance against huge foreign funds that supports foreign companies locally ........noma Sana
@@chebukosiwasike Kenyans have to make a conscious decision to BUY KENYAN. Stop supporting multi nationals. *They don't pay taxes* and *they don't invest their profits* in Kenya!! Africa loses $88 BILLION dollars annually through these multinationals. They employ chicanery to take money out of our country using TAX EVASION, TAX AVOIDANCE, DODGY ACCOUNTING, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY THEFT and UNFAIR TRADE (they want free access to our markets, whilst they impose all manner of restrictions preventing our goods from accessing their markets; tariffs, custom duty. Kenyans need to make a conscious decision to BUY KENYAN, to support our local entrepreneurs and grow our INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
Kuguru is a very strong-hearted businessman. Despite all that he went through, he is always optimistic, not bitter or whining. It seems the phrase "if life gives you Lemons, make lemonade" was made about him.

Multinationals will never allow africa to be independent because to them we are a market and a producer of raw materials. Thats why Mosanto is salivating over Africa and trying everything to get rid of indigenous seeds. On top of that the alcohol industry is a trillion dollar business and any attempt to produce local brew is met by resistance from govt. officials in the name of countering illicit brews who are sponsored by huge western brands. E.g Uhuru received visits to statehouse by European alcohol brand ambassadors disguised as dignitaries and the next day chiefs in Central kenya raided villages and overturned maize plantations in the name of combating illicit brews. That's why if you go to a local pub over 50% of alcohol being sold is foreign and we have been brainwashed into thinking that taking foreign is synonymous to being successful.
To add on that, apparently many people do not really know these things. We hosts and they are parasites.
Plus in Kenya, they discourage gava in business yet their multinational corporations are heavily funded by gavas money......how can private sector compete with almost inaccessible bank finance against huge foreign funds that supports foreign companies locally ........noma Sana

Africa loses $88 BILLION dollars annually through these multinationals. They employ chicanery to take money out of our country using TAX EVASION, TAX AVOIDANCE, DODGY ACCOUNTING, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY THEFT and UNFAIR TRADE (they want free access to our markets, whilst they impose all manner of restrictions preventing our goods from accessing their markets; tariffs, custom duty. Kenyans need to make a conscious decision to BUY KENYAN, to support our local entrepreneurs and grow our INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
