Sehr innovativ! Ein paar Fragen: 1) Wie ist die Repetitionsrate im Vergleich zum Flügel? 2) Ist es richtig, dass das Pianissimo-Spiel mit der Kamm-Mechanik leichter gelingt? 3) Kann die Nachrüstung auch bei Klavieren mit Silent-Systemen, speziell KAWAI K-2 ATX2 erfolgen? 4) Gibt es schon Langzeiterfahrungen hinsichtlich der Langlebigkeit?

Lieber Herr Warner,
vielen Dank für Ihr Interesse. Im Folgenden hat Udo Kamm persönlich Ihre Fragen beantwortet:
Die Repetitionsrate liegt mindestens so hoch wie bei einer Flügelmechanik. Man muss natürlich immer auch die eigene Fingerfertigkeit mit einbeziehen. Man spielt mit der High Speed KAMM Action nicht automatisch schneller.
Die maximale Repetitionsgeschwindigkeit, also Anschläge pro Sekunde, sind im Video dargestellt.
Das Pianissimo gelingt deutlich besser, da man die Taste nur wenige Millimeter steigen lassen muss, um erneut anschlagen zu können.
Dies ist auch sehr schön im Video zu sehen.
Der Einbau in ein Silentklavier sollte kein Problem sein, da die Feder an der Hammernuss befestigt wird.
Die Stoppleiste dürfte dabei nicht stören. Wenn doch müsste sie vorübergehend ausgebaut werden.
Die Haltbarkeit ist ist auf jeden Fall gegeben, da die Feder nur sehr gering ausgelastet ist. Vergleichbare Federn z.B. in Flügelmechaniken mit höherer Belastung (Tragfeder Hebeglied) sind auch nach 100 Jahren noch funktionsfähig.
Bei einem Test wurden 500000 Anschläge simuliert, danach hatte sich die Federeinstellung nicht verändert.

Ich habe das gleiche Klavier (ohne Silent-System). Die Sorge ist, dass die Mechanik des Kawai Millennium III. ABS-Carbonteile hat und etwas anders aussieht als eine Holzmechanik. Lässt es sich noch in eine solche Mechanik einbauen? Oder sollte KAWAI gefragt werden, ob ABS-Carbon gebohrt werden kann usw.?

no i have the feurich vienna 123 with kamm action and silent systems and it's not working, it's not a question of the mechanism but of the number of laser sensors

A highly interesting and educational video! Should be watched not only by piano makers, but also by professional pianists.
The fact that Montserrat Pàmies-Vilà has not only carried out this high-tech research herself, but also presented it in front of the camera in a highly professional manner and understandable to lay people, has hopefully been a great inspiration for many young women in research.
It also proves that gender equality at the University of Music and Performing Art Vienna is not just lip service, but lived reality.
