Very nice. A six-minute symphony is a brave decision after the romantic period. As a percussionist, writing a trill to indicate a timpani roll is outdated, and tremolos should be used instead. I do recognize that you're going for the classical era style when you write that instruction.
@ Of course! Also, as I think about it, there are possibly some percussionists who prefer the trill, but I definitely think tremolos are cleaner looking
