I am late, 6 years late...
I heard brown bird for the first time today. I listened to several songs and found that I truly enjoyed everything about the music. I was inspired enough to try and see if there were any tour dates in my area. This is odd for me because I don't typically go see live music, however all the songs really resonated for me. Upon investigation I learn of this great loss and I feel as if I just lost someone even though I didn't even know him. I'm not sure why I am typing all this now, just know that the music will continue to touch people far into the future.
Mike Die I can completely relate. I don’t want to intrude on your experience, but a very similar thing happened to me 2 years ago. And to find out I live in the next state to where they lived and played.. what a horrible loss. Thanks for sharing man

Such a talent, such a loss, deepest heartfelt condolences to Morganeve and families and friends.

I've been listening to Brown Bird's music for nearly a year and I only just found out that David Lamb had died nine years ago. All of this time had passed and I never bothered to read more about them until now, only to find out he died of leukemia. What he's left for all of us is a gift and a legacy that is too good to be disregarded.
David, gone far too soon. We shall miss your amazing music. Morganeve, my deepest condolences. Rest In Peace, David Lamb.

Ive listened to brown bird for a few years now, and only learned of david's death last year. their voices and lyrics had power in them..seeing his hope in this video really hurts after knowing he lost within a year later, but he is cured of his infliction and hopefully rests easy, his writing is reached by new people every day
I regret not discovering this talented man until it was too late. What incredible musician and a incredible man. I wish I could have gotten the chance to drink a beer with him.

I discovered brown bird about 6 months ago and played there albums without knowing much about the band... Really love the sound. So incredibly sad to learn David has passed away. What an amazing band that will live on forever through music.

Just learned about Brown Bird this week. Listened to a bunch of songs and eventually learned about Dave's passing. So heartbreaking. I feel for MorganEve and their families/ friends. Such a gift he gave us. True poet.
