Bartje... I'm not reading the composer... right? Wolfenbuttel is the library.. Be nice to know who wrote this.. thanks it sounds more advanced than Perotin.. although.. according to the frontispiece, he should be contemporary to him..
It's actually just an indication that the note in question was notated in a certain way in the original. The transcription into modern notation does not account for some small points, but the main thing is: sing what is notated... :)
Bartje... do you know who wrote this? Wolfenbuttel is the name of the library. A contemporary of Perotin and von Bingen?? sounds more advanced.. Nice posting! Nice music!
For those that do not understand why I cringe,. The same ignorance mild millions only last year and only in Germany. It's not enough to think that emotion will find the right road

Why certains notes are barred while we can't hear any difference with those which are non-barred? Sorry for my bad English...

It is "Luminari"
@ClandestineOstrich this, kids, is what happens when paranoid crazy people read too much nonsense.

bas just follows most frequent notes of melody, they were in the process of discovering how a continuo bass part would have to sound like lol
i remember when i was young i tried to invent two part music with a bass part it sounded a bit like this with same principle
the two upper voices together seem to work better together for me then the low one with the rest...... no??
