Man I’ve had some trouble… I’m getting there though. Got the bike to start and idle. Dies on throttle. Went to adjust the carb and noticed, I do not have a pz30 carb. I have a pz32. Their website shows the pz30 as the replacement. Do you think my issue is an incorrect size carb for the bike?
@@Josh-ux6zz my ghost chopper came with a Pz30b pumper style carb which is a great carb for this bike. A pz32 carb is probably too big for this bike although with proper jetting you might be able to make it run with it. If it was me I would request the proper carb. Where did you buy it from? Is it brand new? If you get the Pz30b carb it’s going to have to have the dual cable throttle cable as well to operate the accelerator pump
@@herbiesgarage681 it’s a new bike, from venom. I received it about 6 days ago. I am already waiting on a response on a couple other minor things and didn’t want to send another email unless really necessary. I’ll definitely ask for the correct carb, thank you for the confirmation! I was able to get the battery installed, I commented a few days back. I had to remove the air box and realign everything and put it back together. Whoever did the install just did it wrong and there just wasn’t enough clearance. Thanks again for being so responsive.
I just got mine 2 weeks ago and the rpm’s at idle were about 2.3k rpm’s, is that normal? I turned the idle down to around 1.8k just wondering if that’s correct? Also when in 5th gear my rpms are about 5k-6k is this also normal? Thanks in advance.
Normal idle rpm is 1500 rpm, 1800 is a little bit high but not awful, you would be better off turning it down to 1500rpm though. Yes 5th gear will be around 5-6k rpm eat 55mph I believe. Congratulations on getting the new bike 👍🏻
Thank you so much for your feedback! But the issue i encountered when getting it down to 1.5krpms it will shut off. With that being said should the choke lever stay downward facing me or away from me while on and riding?
Also if everything else is good with your bike and still won’t idle at 1500 rpm then that’s a classic symptom that your valve clearance needs to be reset to correct tolerance
@@herbiesgarage681 okay, thank you for your response! I’ll go with the 105 then I appreciate your content it really is helpful. I chose this bike as my beginner bike to learn and without your content I would probably be lost lol
@@corbintrinchera6018 no I haven’t, I have installed several Nibbi carbs but honestly I like the stock pumper carb that comes with the bike and I can keep the stock handlebar mounted choke cable which is nice.
@@herbiesgarage681 thanks for your help in directing me towards a solution for what to do. I’m looking for more horsepower, because I just got it past 150miles last night. I wanna be able to be at 60-75mole an hour easily
@ That’s a tall order for the ghost. I think it will cruise 60-65mph pretty good with me on it and the few modifications that I have made. Top speed is only about 75mph so that would be pushing the motor pretty hard. There’s not much more that you can do to improve high speed cruising. I have the tallest gearing on my bike and can’t go anymore. A Nibbi might give you a little more top end power but even then I don’t think cruising at 75mph would be achieved. Just my opinion of course
I believe that it would but I wouldn’t go bigger than a 28mm Nibbi for it. I’ve tried 30mm Nibbi on a 250 before and it’s just too much carb for the bike. I’ve not tried fitment on it so I’m not sure about clearance, I might try a Nibbi someday myself and if I do I’ll be sure and do a video on it

Good afternoon, I was told my bike was running lean due to the popping sound when letting off the throttle. Do you have a video on how to adjust that?
Do you have the nibbi carb for the motorcycle now or the original
I have the original on it, I never changed it. I like the way it runs with the stock rejetted carb on it.
Do you feel the 105 main jet does good or do better with a 110?
The 105 is doing fine, I haven’t changed it. I did open up my exhaust and probably should go to a 110 but it still runs good as is
