There's something so familiar sounding about her vocal melody choices, yet I know nobody has sang those melodies before. Kinda has this timeless quality to it that makes these songs rather addictive. The way that she just kind of effortlessly plays with these other worldly vocal melodies, there's never been anything like it.
There will never be another band like Boadcast. They are the gold standard of experimental pop. They were willing to go into weird strange Sonic territories that no other band would dare go in. They never gave the audience what they wanted. Broadcast gave the audience what they NEEDED. Trish always had a wonderful playful almost childlike approach to melody. Her mind was wide open to receive anything that excited her or inspired her, even if it came from the weirdest places.
I know this has been on Vimeo for ages, but it's wonderful to have it continuous on TH-cam - brilliant performance, I think they played in Turin the night after (or before, my memory's gone) too. I think by this point all we have of Broadcast live is all we'll ever have, I'll be amazed if anything new crops up now - I cherish it all.
Wow I had no idea they had such a strong visual element to their performances, stunning. I have always thought their music was incredibly cinematic among other things. Thank you for the upload
This is absolutely brilliant. I have never seen live footage of their more abstract / free form soundscape pieces. Thank you so much for sharing this. Means so much.
*_mesmerizingly hypnotic - RIP Trish!_* 💔
Amazing …thank you so much for this fantastic gig…

if broadcast had played npr's tiny desk concerts, it would have made their legacy less cultish.
Excellent performance. Has this been released in any form or are there any plans to do so?
