► Burglar resistant glass test: • Which Glass is burglar...
What is the difference between security glasses? Does bullet-resistant glass also protect against burglars? In this video, we take a look at active security glass. What security classes are there? Active security glass protects against break-ins, gunshots or explosives.
We explain and compare burglar-resistant, bullet-resistant and blast-resistant glass.
Whether in sports halls, as stair railings or in high-security prisons. There are countless applications for safety glass. But what is the difference between the various types of safety glass and what do the different safety classes mean? Depending on the security requirements, you need the right glass.
In this video, we explain the special features, possible applications and the testing process for impact-resistant, burglar-resistant, bullet-resistant and blast-resistant glass.
Impact resistant glass is divided into five resistance classes, from P1A to P5A. It protects against objects such as stones or footballs, but offers no protection against burglary. A steel ball is used to test how well the glass protects against being thrown in.
Burglar resistant glass is available in three resistance classes: P6B, P7B and P8B. These glasses are tested with an axe, and the more blows they can withstand, the higher their resistance class. In practice, the service life depends on the number of blows they can withstand.
Bullet resistant glass is classified in bullet resistance classes BR1 to BR7. These glasses protect against shots of various calibers, with BR7 representing the highest level of protection and resisting even rifle fire.
Blast resistant glass is divided into the categories ER1 to ER4 and protects against explosive attacks. It resists the blast wave of an explosion and thus provides additional protection.
Stay tuned to find out which types of glass are best suited to your security requirements!
This video is Part 2, in Part 1 we talk about passive safety glass like tempered glass, LSG (Laminated safety glass) and float glass.

Very well and clearly explained. Thank you for that.
It's impressive that your glass offers the same or even better protection against break-ins than the much heavier “green” glass :-)

Great video and explanation of this interesting topic. I especially like that you showed the cross sections of each type of glass, which makes the differences between all these glasses quite relatable and visibly evident and so this video is a great addition to your existing and also interesting "attack type" of demonstrations. For these, like for the recent awesome .50 BMG / .57 demonstration video, i am always left wondering "what does the actual cross section of the demonstrated glass look like". Maybe you could also quickly show the cross sections of the demonstrated glasses in future "attack type" videos? Anyway, keep up your good work and i'm looking forward to future videos. :)

Very nice presentation and explanation of the products, dose your company just produce glass, or complete window and door solutions?
