    This is a case where I would have made it clear in the listing "Not suitable for modern AAA titles but ones from 2015 and back as well as ESports games like Fortnite and R6S will all run just fine".
    Specifics like that are invaluable for not having any misunderstandings with potential buyers. Glad to see that you did manage to sell for a little profit though 👍.

      I definitely said so in the listing, last thing I'd want is a disappointed buyer due to false advertising. Thanks for your comment!

    The ram not being in dual channel is also hurting the performance also.

    strange.. i build a PC for 120 bucks 5 months ago that has 3x the performance..
    GTX 970 strix oc, i5 4670k, 16GB ddr3 (dual channel) running at 2600mhz and fast timings, inwin Maelstrom case, cheap air cooler, 550 watts corsair PSU, 1x 500gb ssd and 1x 128 GB Nvme 2.0 ssd.
    This PC with gtx 760 is a total rip off.
    i got the gtx 970 for 35 bucks including shipping. U got ur money stolen bro.
    i can play Borderlands 3 on high settings with 60-70 fps.. Resident Evil 4 remake runs on medium settings with quality upscaling with 40-60 fps and Metro Last light on high settings 2x msaa with locked 60.
    with such a tight budged u shouldnt buy a good looking case and cpu cooler.. invest the money into parts that count and give u performance. And overclocking is a must at this price range.

      @pcflippingcentral  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good deal on that GTX 970! Seems like you got some really good deals. Were they local? While I agree that these prices were a little bit high I also know that you can get all of these parts at these prices easily on eBay and other places online. All of these parts were shipped to my door so shipping had to be incorporated.
      I also agree that performance should be a priority, but it was $40 for a completely new case from Newegg and then $8 for a new CPU cooler, and I sold this computer afterwards. Buyers like when a computer looks good and I’d argue that cases like your maelstrom will have a tougher time selling.

    i meannn for $170 its not a bad price. however for just a little more, around $200 maybe a little over, with some smart shopping you could build something with like an am4 socket to allow more upgradability. old b350 gaming plus are dirt cheap and there's still perfectly respectable am4 cpu's. also im pretty sure those b350's are capable of ddr4 i wanna say like 3000mhz

    3:58 there must be something wrong with your GPU or drivers, I’m not sure about the synthetic but cs should run way better. The GTX 760 is essentially a faster1050

    • @pcflippingcentral
      @pcflippingcentral  ปีที่แล้ว

      Same thing I thought! I had my drivers installed as the newest version released by Nvidia and even tried some older drivers to no avail. One of my friends even has a GTX 960 and he said CS2 runs like garbage as well so I'm wondering if it's something with the game and older GPUs

    • @HairyScrambler
      @HairyScrambler ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pcflippingcentral you’re probably onto something, it must not like the older GPU architecture or something. Regardless it’s a shame that alienates some of the former player base since maxwell cards are still fairly relevant

  • @procrastinates

    Why a GTX 760? The Kepler architecture is practically obsolete for modern games because it stopped receiving driver updates in 2021. Even if it still received driver updates, you will run to VRAM issues because 2GB cards are useless for anything more demanding than Minecraft.

    • @pcflippingcentral
      @pcflippingcentral  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had it on hand. I agree that it’s old and the lack of driver updates makes you run into issues with newer games. It’s still a valuable card if you’re on a very small budget and want to play some older games!

      @@pcflippingcentralAs someone who has used an EVGA GTX 760 (different model) in the past, it can be a decent placeholder card until you get the GPU you actually want. The GTX 760 was a usable card for gaming a few years ago, but due to DX12 and UE5 games, it has been rendered obsolete.

    Awesome, you built a stronger xbox 360. Not bad but the price was way to high. I'd shoot for under a 100 usd. But good job. I'd get an older 720 or a 1080p monitor that can drop to 720. I like it just not the price.

  • @ms1595
    @ms1595 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Shocking. A PC from 2013 playing 2013 games flawlessly. 225$ was really too much. I would call you lucky. Also if you can buy it for 170$, why should somebody pay more for it? 225$ gets you 4t gen Intel and a GTX1060 these days. At least where I live. Also the 760 no longer getting driver updates, is really a no go. I would consider it a no go for a PC I want to use for gaming. Not classic games but current e-sports titles like Fortnite and CS2. Flipping PCs is pure luck. You got to buy really cheap or buy something the owner thinks is broken. I found it hard to build PCs from used parts and flip them for a profit. Same with used PCs and upgrading them. Usually only got me a few, maybe 20€ each time. Maybe I live in the wrong region or part of the world.

    Ho-o-o-h-o-ly SHIT that PSU's a landmine waiting to happen, man.
    I don't care that you used old equipment. Old equipment has it's place. I have a 4790k and xeon e3-1270 v5 that are BOTH ACTIVELY used to host minecraft and rust servers (and do so VERY well compared to modern day hardware and even win out in cost to performance for some applications)
    But N E V E R cheap out on the power supply. That's a bad day waiting to happen.

    • @pcflippingcentral
      @pcflippingcentral  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lots of people think that just because hardware is old means it’s bad when it can still perform well today so I agree!
      Trust me I used to be a huge power supply nitpicker too so I can see where you’re coming from. I won’t come crying back to you if my computer explodes and burns down my house how about that ;)
