I haven't even flown my first flight yet and I've already learned so much from watching your repair videos. I think its a good idea to watch these types of vids before flying so that when you do crash, you're not so bummed about it because you know that you can probably fix it up.
Glad you like the video. Its amazing at what you can repair. Of course you can buy a new wing or fuse, but its kinda fun to just repair it.. Good luck.
Bearcat vs almost anything else with a propeller ain't gonna fare well for the other plane...lol. Great repair Will...very well done. BTW, the Apprentice STOL is the lone UMX sized plane made of EPO.
Pretty funny.. Those mid air collision are pretty rare, but yet when they happen I never seem to get it on video... EPO.. I thought it felt like EPO, but didn't want to do a test and use my go to E6000. Foamtac did a great job.. (so far.....)
Great fix. Will, when spreading Foam Tac with a brush - is it a once and done, or do you clean the brush with something? Thanks for sharing this great fix.
Ain't that the truth.. We do the same thing and its really tough to intentionally hit another plane. Yet, a few fellas flying around the circuit manage to do it every so often. Makes for great YT content..😂
Very good job with this repair! I wonder if you have to be a 'foam whisperer' to convince all those foam pieces that they should meld back together as smoothly as you do? Heck, I usually just do a great job of having my fingers glued together with little bits of foam included for support!
On my little apprentice The ESC is rated for 3s. Guys are running 3 bladed drone props no issues with heat on the motor That plane also stock calls for a 2S 300 MAH battery In your professional opinion, do you see any issues if I run a 3S 450 MAH battery in there with regards to making the plane nose heavy I’d like a little more power out of this little plane Or when you add weight to a plane, does that just mean it requires more airspeed for takeoff and landings?
You can add the larger battery, but it might make it nose heavy which will make it fly poorly. Flying a 3S vs 2S could offer more flight time and power depending on how much you push that throttle. You could always just get a UMX Turbo Timber.. Those haul butt.. You'd like it...

I always enjoy repair videos just to gather new or different ideas on repairs. Over all good video,
Thanks Tug. Appreciate it..
Ya gotta get some "B" roll of the flight to share ......... Nice video.

Thanks for this video.
Excellent example of repair/rebuild.
Gives people a little hope all is not lost.
You are one of the best on TH-cam.
Cheers
Really appreciate the comments. I'm always looking for an opportunity to rebuild a plane and show it on YT... Thanks, Will
Great Repair Job Will!! Love These Repair Videos!
So glad you like them.. I really enjoy the process and sharing on YT...
Great fix.
Will, when spreading Foam Tac with a brush - is it a once and done, or do you clean the brush with something? Thanks for sharing this great fix.
Those cheap brushes get thrown out.. But, that said, I wonder if a quick rinse in alcohol or paint thinner would clean them up for another job...
We used to do full contact with Crash Test Assasins. Somehow harder to collide with another RC model when you are deliberately trying to.

Amazing job putting my plane back together. Looking forward to getting it back in the air!
You sure flew it well yesterday... Glad she's flyable again....
Amazing repair job
Thanks 👍

"Companies selling rc planes hate him, learn this one trick...."
So true... Thanks..
