I can honestly say if I hadn't started into the hobby alone with safe I wouldn't of continued and now say why not give a beginner a best experience possible ? We use to ride horses then bicycles motorcycles and cars , who said we have to follow the old school doctrine of anything ? Forget the critics in the hobby and their lectureous dogmatic rants !!! Yeah, this is good, we need more people like this wife and mother gal enjoying flying however they can enjoy it. Focus on her more, maybe showing expressions while flying, sharing and hearing the satisfaction and nice diversion the hobby can provide a busy family lady. You don't see many videos like that anywhere.

How do you get so many horizon toys. What job besides reviews do you perform for horizon . Horizon is always my go to for the rc hobby. Amazing warranty out of the box. Horizon replaced 2 sport cub s with bad servos and a set of axial rims and tires missed glued and that wonderful eflite heli 200 with brown out esc problems that is now discontinued. The apprentice is a perfect 5 foot wingspan plane with 3 modes. All my planes are bind to a dx6. So perfect with all the settings and adjustments.

aeroscout sucks.. hate it,, if i had bought the valiant first i wouldnt has wasted my money on the scout... LOVE the VALIANT.. it one of the best easy fliers from e flite and is really priced well...i have snow skis on mine right now for Canadian winter and it a blast to fly off snow.. have floats also

damn retailing 315$ in canada... sucks how expensive they are here, even the new hobby zone xcub 450m RTF is 170$. its harding constantly harder to get into this hobby up here. I had the mini aeroscout and it just wasnt it really. not a good flyer and limited capability thanks to it only being 3 channel and under powered, would love something like this maybe one day

@TheRcSaylors it's close, I do love a warbird either way! I do want to start with something a bit more tame to get with it, I was also looking at the volentex J3 4Ch or the ranger sport 4Ch. I have personally gone through a lot of you guys beginner aircraft videos to get a better idea as well😅 the apprentice STOL would be the ideal one with the size but can't justify the price tag as i might as well get the full size aeroscout. But with me just sticking to park flying I'm trying to keep them small

But it can be a gamble, and when someone is new in the hobby, a bad experience can be the final nail in the coffin for the whole hobby. For a little more money you could have Spektrums newest radio out with about all of the bells and whistles you could ask for. It would come with a warranty if bought new, and huge model memory. Just my two cents!!

Bind to dx6 and use expo to slow down the gimbles. Dump the on off switch radio. Would consider it only as a bind and fly. Dont want or need their crap ready to fly radion.
I was wondering do you have an asw28 glider? If you do I was wondering can you successfully do a loop or a roll with that large aircraft without breaking the Wings off?
yeh...higher altitude ...keep applying gradual up elevator 'til plane returns to loop entry point...no over stressing wing..same with rolls...add gradual aileron until back to start upright point...😁💯👍🇺🇸

That's too bad. I have the Carbon Cub S2. It's very light and sensitive to breezes. This one looks much more capable of more advanced maneuvers.

The old Apprentice S is an amazing trainer! I recommend it for it's size. Very easy to keep track of and you can get them for a good price.

No it will not, but you can get a nodule to put in the back, that will bind with almost everything.

3 days after owning mine the motor went out and horizon hasn’t sent me a new one.
Finally got them a couple days ago. Then the included charger in the RTF kit melted.
