  • Branch Together brings Christians together to read the Bible every day. We know as Christians that we are called to "branch out" and reach the world around us, but first we must come "together" and develop habits that help us grow to be more like the people Jesus is calling us to be. So before we Branch Out, we Branch Together. Some people might call this Daily Devotions, or Quiet Time...whatever you call it, our videos kickstart your most important daily habit.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (April 12, Easter Sunday), 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 12-14, 20-23, 42-45 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. However, due to the Corona Virus outbreak, we only had a drive-up service and no Sunday School. The lesson was entitled "A Resurrected Savior." The hymn, "Now the Green Blade Rises," written by John Macleod Campbell Crum (1872-1958) is a good hymn to compliment this Scripture, regardless of denomination. Corinth: the New York City/Las Vegas of the Bible. Agree or disagree? Feel free to reply.

    1 Corinthians 15:24-28 is interesting:
""Next, the end, when he (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to his God and father (Jehovah), when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he (Jesus) must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. Then the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. For God subjected all things under his (Jesus') feet. But when he says that all things have been subjected, it is evident that this does not include the one (Jehovah) who subjected all things to him. But when all things have been subjected subjected to him, then the son himself will also subject himself to the one who subjected all things to him, that God (Jehovah) may be all things to everyone."

Where in scripture does it state he was buried and raised on the third day?
