We also wish there was more unity in the Church. That's something that we work hard on in our area in NJ. We spend a lot of time partnering with other local churches so we can be unified together. We don't have it all figured out, but we take that seriously. We are happy to discuss with other leaders trying to do the same!
So Much Fruit from this book - Thank you Bridge for keeping it simple and concise - Its our job to go deeper on our personal time and study Gods word - Can you feel the Holy Spirit tugging us with love? Is it telling us to do all things in love? I believe so...we will never comprehend everything but we will definitely be drawn closer to HIM if we do and say everything in LOVE.

The reason they gathered the donations of goods and money on the first day of the week is because the early Christians kept the sabbath or seventh day and obviously would not be working and gathering on that day. I think that point needs to be emphasized in studying this chapter. God Bless
I wonder what he means when he says in verse 22 "if anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed." NLT. There are so many people that don't love the Lord or perhaps say they do but their actions and lifestyle prove otherwise.
Chapter 2 the message of the cross permeates everything else according to Paul We get busy doing other things and start to focus on other things- == like fighting for unborn, trouble with families, trying to rescue sex trade, refugees-etc… Feeding the poor, etc… When those things draw away from the simple message- and powerful message of the cross-- These are all expressions of God’s heart - We do these things and we are supposed to do these things, but should not confuse these with the message of the cross- ==The why - the great commission- to bring people to the gospel== Don’t get distracted - doing good without the message that reminds us why we are doing these things-bring the cross These are the things that Paul was saying was dividing people... How to do things. To prevent division, we must remember the main message-- Jesus dies, He was buried, He rose again, and he left his power and comforter-the holy spirit to guide us in doing the things he did. That is where our hope is.And that is where the unity STANDS

I also believe it’s for those who believed in vein they say they were raised Christian but clearly don’t hold any of those beliefs or values
