I am going to hold my breath until you have used the Kalour pencils to complete a full picture. I bought the pastel set and I was so disappointed. I need a good affordable alternative to Prismacolors. I love your haul, I am totally jelly!!! 😋

I just got the set of 72 Kingart mixed media gel sticks a few days ago and I paid $56 for them from Amazon. I really love them! I didn't realize I could use them with one of those brushes though, so thank you for sharing that idea! I will have to see if I can find those brushes now!

Tip for the gouache, do not open to swatch, leave closed until you actually want to use or they will dry out. Fun supplies, I look forward to seeing you create beautiful art with them ❣️

Great haul! I was wondering if you could use your old tool for the pan pastels and put the round sponge on it ( the blue plastic tool with the round sponge from the new set )? Merry Christmas!!
I just put the middle palette on, then pop the whole thing into a big snap lock bag and then click the top lid on…. My jelly gouache are now 18+ months in and still juicy and not mouldy, I’ve added no extra water or glycerin

Of all the stationery items I acquired this year, even as I stand in the kitchen making my own watercolors, the Shuttle Art Gel Crayons are my favorite! I usually apply it with a blender brush and have gotten some phenomenal backgrounds. Advice: if you want to layer up to a rich color, I recommend letting the layers "dry" a bit between each application. It helps prevent some lifting of the color already on the paper.

The jelly guache is great Lucy. They do dry out eventually, but just spritz them with water and they’ll reactivate just fine.

mix your cheap acrylic paint with cornstarch for more opacity
