Can't thank you enough for these great reviews. As an amateur photographer, im leaning towards R50, bit disappointed that they have limited budget lens to fit on. Ive heard of adaptors and using Rf lens? Would you reckon that's the right path? Thanking you in advance ❤😊
I have a older cannon EOS Rebel T3. Can my lense on that be used on the R50? How is the stability on the R50. I’m not a content creator but want to use for family vids. But most importantly want to use for photos. Thanks for the great review.
If you have the money I would say yes. The R50 is leaps and bounds better than the R100. As I stated in the video the R100 is literally the M50 thats been out for years and then slightly watered down. I primarily use my R5 for video but the photos that I have taken with it look absolutely great.
Hi, I am planning to purchase camera as well Purpose is mostly a portrait of me and my wife and some objects when we go out on trip. Probably few landscape of nature as well What is the best budget friendly mirrorless camera body and lens combination u would suggest? Thanks in advance
The R100 is a great camera now that they are selling for $249 to $299 brand new on eBay. Definitely not worth the original MSRP, but it's a great little beast with much better build quality than the previous cheap offering, the T100 (that had a plastic lens mount).
I just got the R50 and the Nisi 9mm f/2.8 RF lens. Absolutely amazing combo for shooting real estate! A huge upgrade from the Canon M50 and Laowa 9mm f/2.8 ef-m lens. I like the full auto mode on the R50 as it looks amazing on the viewfinder. But I have the Nisi 9mm f2.8 manual focus lens. I can't take a picture in full auto mode for some reason. Are there settings to allow this? Also wondering if you can do a comparison between 3 hdr bracketed vs full auto mode assist photos? I'm imagining closer results than expected. Blended hdr photos are tough to beat but this will make for an interesting test.
Great videos, just picked up the r50 and your videos have helped. thanks!
Great to hear!
great vid but how do you get the blurred background with the r50
A lens with a low aperture of 2.8 or lower. I was using the RF 16mm 2.8 for this video. My more recent videos I'm using the sigma 18-35 1.8

With the adapter you can use EF lenses. RF is what the camera uses by default. There are still a lot of good RF lenses under $600 available.

Im looking at the R50 but not sure if i should go for a full frame camera instead.
Which one is better for the best photos to take? The r100 or r50? Please someone help me i only want to use it for photos nothing more
If it's for photos get the r100 with a nice lens they take almost identical photos and it's almost 200 us cheaper
The R100 also has a hot shoe compatible with a strobe flash and a built flash (the R50 has neither).
@@LakeHowellDigitalVideo I didn’t realize that the r50 has no hot shoe?
This is exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks so much!
Im a beginner photographer and I just purchased the r100 for 499. Do you think I should return it and go with the r50?

after reviewing I am picking R 50. Thank you,
I have the cannon eos T5 and want to upgrade to the R50, would my lenses from my old camera fit the r50?
If they are EF or EF-S lenses they would work using EF to RF adapter
@@RexxReviews fantastic, cause these lenses are as expensive as the camera, lol. thank you for your response
Thanks for the information!
Hope it helped !
