This is an interesting video... the idea of let it dry up the stalk of flower, don't cut while still fresh, 'cause still gives nutrients to the roots, and the transformation from the garden pot into coconut hush and barks... looks fresh, and roots have more room to spread. ...I can't wait to see all the orchids to blooms.

i'm going for 7-20mm pumice and a bit of the chunky coir.
coir by itself can get a bit too moist for orchids, which hate roots too moist for lengths of time.
soak coir in plenty of water and squeeze it out, to get rid of most tannins and maybe salt. should be on instructions.
