For a minute, I thought I was watching a short-film as soon as it ended it left me cliffhanging. Now, I’m wanting a sequel where clownfish babies are hatched.
I was just thinking about it when I went to the forest a few days ago (different environment but the idea is the same). Life is everywhere but capturing it so beautifully like this is SO difficult
Not only is the behavior of these fish incredible, but being able to hear their clicking noises and vocalizations with this footage is very special to me. I never knew the range of sounds fish are capable of making.
Yes, I thought it real interesting how the male vs female differed in coloring on their 'noses'. The photographer really got some great closeups! Think that's the first time I ever saw a fish laying eggs!
The only sad part of this footage is the perennial plastic water bottle that made its way to an ocean. Everything else about this peek into these fish is just superb and utterly inspiring.
Kudos to the BBC Blue Planet team for capturing such nature's miraculous life events in such captivating detail. This definitely inspires us even more to respect and protect nature.

@@blackricksanchez457 I agree. Lots of shots are fake and setup. I saw a video about an insect attacking a geeko to show how it hunts in the wild and in reality the geeko was tapped to a tree so it cant escape. Most of these animal documentaries are fake.

The oceans have hundreds of billion of tons of plastic in them already and we still see fish speices who experience population losses of 90% +. Not population growth

I'm so astonished about the sound, thinking about what fantastic equipment they must have used to capture this all not only visually, but audibly too in such a quality..
Most sound is added in post. Think about it, if you clap your hands underwater, how loud is it? Otherwise, if you had an aquarium you'd hear your fish 'gurgling' all night.
Climate change but mostly fishing has destroyed the oceans. It's sad but we must all try do our bit in protecting the oceans. Pick up plastic from the beaches and stop eating fish.

That's so sad. Companies who produce products in plastic packaging should be forced by law to take the packaging back and recycle it. So maybe it wouldn't end up in the ocean.
What Sweden does is add extra money to the plastic bottles when buying them. You get the money back once you have recycled it! Meaning, even if you leave it outside, someone will recycle it for some money

How can one deny there being a Creator when everything is so perfectly in its place with such beauty too. I applaud the camera crew, but even more then One who has brought to existence such beauty to be filmed.
Lately I have realised that even these documentaries indirectly reflect the reducing life in our great oceans! That really looked sparsely populated to what once would have been a village!

I highly doubt any fish is of comparable intelligence to a human, but fish are certainly more intelligent than people give them credit for! some species, such as larger wrasses, are roughly comparable to a dog in terms of intelligence. play behaviour and tool use have been observed in several fish species, and the Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse has even passed the mirror test!
Literally how does anyone get this footage. How don't they scare the clowns? How can they get the footage of the entire process? How did they know what would be happening and when? How did they get such great angles? How did they know to get this footage in the first place? Genuinely bonkers.
In Netflix they have a special episode that covers how they video these events. They tell the time it took to wait for such things to happen, the equipment they use, the personnel etc. You should go check it out.

I found this little family astonishing , it's such a privilege to be able to see these creatures thriving.
