Good for you Jerry, keep walking. I lost my wife to cancer 15 months ago and I just about lost my mind. I have always been a wanderer/walker and since then, even more so. Walking has always been more about mental and spiritual health to me than physical health. Keep walking, my friend. Take good care.

Jerry, talking about what ails us is very helpful as I found out dealing with my issues. That together with walking and having a hobby like stamp collecting is very therapeutic and helps me stay focused. There are no 'mistakes' in stamp collection, I view it as evolution. When I first started collecting German stamps, I was all over the place. After reflection and watching other youtubers I have re-organized my collection and am now concentrating on 3rd Reich stamps and will go back to collecting in earnest pre-3rd Reich. Stay positive and wishing you well.

Thank you for your reply, I have thought about German stamps myself as I do have quite a lot of those, if you can find something that you can get really into and you can focus on is extremely helpful and of course walking.
I find that when I am walking in the forest is best, I can really lose myself in the beauty and tranquillity of the place, and my thoughts become clearer.
I am going to re look my stamps and try again.

As someone who also suffers, I wish you all the very best. Walking also helps me as does my stamp collecting

What a beautiful place to go for a walk, Jerry. I enjoy walking too, and now the weather is warming up we will be able to get out and about more often, maybe soon without the mud. :) I hope your walks help you to feel recharged and better able to face challenges. If you enjoy collecting a full set, then maybe collecting a specialism rather than an entire country could work. For example, maybe I decide to collect Olympic stamps. The first Olympics I watched was in 1984, so that games holds special memories for me, as well as the following games in 1988. So perhaps I would collect Olympic stamps for 1984 and 1988 games from all countries. This is achievable as I think they will be readily available and fairly cheap. Or perhaps I love science and choose to collect stamps of Nobel prize winners for medicine from 1962 when Watson and Crick won the prize for structure of DNA until the present day. Again, this is achiveable and could be very interesting. You can place collecting boundaries on any subject simply by setting a date range. I enjoy all your videos and always look forward to your next. :)

      Thanks, Happybunny.
I do have a few thematic collections, birds, motorcycles, and trains on stamps, but I like collecting countries' stamps most, as the weather warms up here in the UK I am going to do a walk I've always wanted to do but that will be in the late spring.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Jerry. And it’s ok to mess up or drop a certain collection here or there. As long as you still enjoy your hobby! And maybe in the future you will feel different and try again.
Beautiful area you live in, I could definitely see myself and my dog Nena walking there 😊
I wish you and your wife all the best, take care! 🤗

      Thanks for your kind words.
It is a very nice place and peaceful. My dog used to love walking here, but sadly, he is an old boy now and can't go too far on his walks. Take care 🙂

Hello Jerry, so good for you to have a long walk in the country side. The surrounding where you walk is really beautiful and calming. I am sorry to hear about your wife's struggles causing yours as well. It sounds serious enough that I think she must get professional help. Sometimes just a bit of chemical intervention can work magics. I know it is a bit of a placating statement, but things will get better again, I am sure. In the mean time keep walking and enjoy your stamps! About your Netherlands album, as you probably know it is about enjoying the collecting and the end products are not the end all. Think of you and your wife here from New Zealand and love and well wishes to you both!

I am glad she is getting help! If it is serious enough, it is almost impossible to get out of it yourself. Take care as well!@@jerrystamps

Hi Jerry. Good video. Nice you go out for a walk and just record and talk what is on your mind. Talking helps, connecting helps, walking helps. And, stamp collecting helps. Sometimes all those things are not easy. Or maybe often it isn't. As for your Netherlands album, as @kozzackkelt said: let us come up with suggestions. When it comes to what to collect and how to collect, not having the answers and learning from others, or making your own 'mistakes', is one of the best things that can happen. I said 'mistakes' as I have been changing the last 2 weeks how I store my stamps and have also done away with my Netherlands Davo albums and therefor with collecting The Netherlands all together. We should not be afraid to try thing and then come to the conclusion that it isn't for us. It is very valuable, and even more valuable then getting everything right immediately. Really good you made this video Jerry! Love your channel and seeing how fast you grow, I am not the only one!
I will send you some stamps next week for our stamp swap :-)

Thanks, Chris, things are very difficult here at the moment. Stamps are my way of coping as they take me out of reality for a while, and I can relax and zone out

Hope you're getting professional help for whatever your personal issues are..... as for stamps, collect what you LIKE. I learned years ago that being a "completist" would be very frustrating and impossible, and I might add, end up with many stamps that I didn't particularly like. As for "messing up" your Netherlands album, there's another video for you to show us what you've done and let us offer suggestions. Looks like a nice place to take a walk. Until next time.....

Thanks for your reply, getting professional help here in the UK is very difficult and the waiting lists are long ( around a year ) I find it very frustrating.
There is also not anyone who can offer specialist help around here.
I am going to collect what I like, I just like to keep my viewers informed on what's going on, take care.
