My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the Christmas tree. I love the smell of the tree and sparkle of the lights. I, also, love the lights of the Chanukah menorah which increases each night as we add the newest candle. The last night all eight candles and the shamash helper candle.
A tradition we have is we put up a Christmas caroler lighted scene which stays up until March 11th in memory of our daughter. It is lighted every night.
🐉We started wrapping each family members gifts in different paper. It saved on tags and helped the little ones pass out gifts before they could read. We've kept it up picking out the perfect paper for each person. Merry Christmas🎄
🐉So many holiday traditions! My favorite is... I host Christmas Eve for about 20 ish people every year. We have a fun gift exchange game and always eat tamales and have a turkey. After everyone goes home, my husband, our kids, and I eat cookies and watch all the original Disney classics like the Grinch, Mickeys Christmas Carol etc.
My favorite tradition is making the special holiday cookie recipe that my mom got from her college roommate 50 years ago. It instantly became the favorite across our entire family.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is going to midnight mass and then the absolute chaos of Christmas day! I come from a large family (8 kids) and even though we're all adults, we all still try to get together with our families to be together (7 of the 8 will be together this year!)
This is nice of you ❤ 🐉We did this every year when we were kids and we will still occasionally do this: we would flip ice cream cones upside down, using icing to hold it to the plate. And since they looked like little Christmas trees, we would use green icing to coat and decorate them with candy (my favorite was m&ms), sprinkles (one year we used red vine strings as garland) or anything that we could get that year and "decorate" and eat our trees once the icing dried. It was always a kids sugar dream 😊
🐉 One of my favorite Christmas traditions is I gift my niece and nephews with books and gift cards Advent calendars on December 1st - 24th (hand-picked & created by me) and their parents send me photos of them opening their gifts so I can feel close to them during the holiday season. I lived in Germany for years and now live on the West Coast and they live in the Midwest and East coast.
I don’t have or can’t find the dragon emoji. Guess it flew away.😊. My favorite holiday tradition is setting up my nutcracker and Santa collection above and around the fireplace. They seem to add magic to the season. I appreciate all your videos and the time and effort you put in them. Have a joyful holiday.
🐉 A favorite holiday tradition for us is decorating the tree while drinking peppermint hot cocoa and listening to Christmas music. We always have a good time!
🐉one of my favorite traditions we did as children and still do now is we get in the car in our jammies with our blankets and hot chocolate and go look at Christmas lights.
I can't seem to find a dragon emoji or don't have one. My favorite family tradition is being blessed enough to be able to be a "Santa's Helper." This is when my family chooses a child or two, or more depending on finances that year, to purchase Christmas gifts for. This year was the start of the 4th generation participating! Thank you for sharing, and Merry Christmas!
Our traditions changed. My husband passed last year and my daughters moved out. Now it’s just me and my teen son. Looking to move soon, so we did a trip over Thanksgiving to check out areas and houses. Hope to start some new ones next year when things aren’t so chaotic! 🐉
🐉 We have quite a few little traditions but my favorite one is my husband and I buy a Christmas ornament wherever we go that year or whatever big memories are made. We wrap them up and surprise our boys with them on Christmas Eve and it turns into everyone talking about their favorite memory’s over the year, it’s just my favorite time with my boys. ❤ Hope your family has a happy holiday!
Hi Sarah! 🐉 Love your channel! My favorite holiday tradition is a pj party with Christmas movies, hot chocolate and all kinds of snacks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
🐉 we've always opened gifts on Christmas eve after dinner. It's so fun to just spend the evening, take our time and enjoy the process. We do stockings Christmas morning and then just spend a lazy day in our pajamas reading, playing games, watching movies, eating good food. It's so relaxed and cozy!

Our favorite Christmas Eve tradition is to exchange books with each other. At Thanksgiving we draw names and then buy a book for that person. We all buy for the kids as kids should have as many books as possible. Then after our Christmas Eve dinner, we eat Grasshopper Brownies and read our new books! Merry Christmas and thank you for all the things you do for us Book Nerds!
Watching my grandsons enjoy Christmas Day. I could do Christmas everyday so my favorite thing to do is to watch new Christmas movies because I watch them all year. With this world having so many daily challenges I will put on a movie just to lift my spirits. Blessings to you and your family for a great 2025.
🐉Hey Sarah, here's one of my fav things about Xmas. Xmas day night (if it was wet and rainy) was to make a fire in the fireplace, turn down the lights and leave the Xmas lights on. Then crank out the marshmallows for roasty-toasty-time. It was just my Mother and I. She passed years ago & I haven't done it since. Too hard. But I am so blessed to have those memories. No violins, 🙏.
My favorite tradition is spending Christmas Day with my family, having a wonderful meal and opening presents. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!🐉
This is so sweet of y’all to do.My favorite tradition we do with my sister family is white elephant gifts. Things no one wants. It is so fun and funny to do. 🐲🐉Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
🐉🐲 Our favorite tradition is to hide a pickle ornament in the tree. The person who finds it on Christmas morning gets a prize. This year the prize a book! Merry Christmas Sarah.
🐉 Favorite tradition is having the kids write their letter to Santa on Thanksgiving night and an elf picks it up and leaves an advent calendar. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you for all the book videos. One of the thing that my husband and I do is bake an assortment of cookies. Then take to all of them to friends and family with love. Merry Christmas. 🐉🎄
🐲Our favorite Christmas Tradition is being the “easy parents.” We have a blended family ages 10-30. Everyone is grown except for one. Many years ago, my husband and I decided that we would be the easy parents about holidays because with court documents and custody schedules and even/odd year holidays 😵💫 it was stressful to the children and also their experiences at our home and their other homes. We realized we could celebrate the birth of Jesus any day (every day) of the year. That overflowed into all the other holidays as we practiced being “easy” with our time together. So, we celebrate Thanksgiving the first weekend in November and then Christmas the first weekend in January. Traditions matter and the point is always family unity, right? We love ours. 😌 🐉✨
Merry Christmas, Sarah! 🎄My favorite is watching Christmas movies, like Hallmark and the ones for children. My son is coming to take me to 4 pm Mass this Christmas Eve. Then we will cook.
🐉One of my favorite holiday traditions is when my whole extended family rents out a venue to have a big Christmas party, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, all the cousins, ect.
🐉 I am so into fantasy lately too! Wishing you and your family the happiest of holidays! Now that our children are all over 21, each Christmas Eve we have a drink off competition. Everyone creates a festive holiday drink. Then you vote for three categories: Best Presentation, Most Creative, Best Overall. No one can vote for themselves. There are prizes for each category. It’s fun and everyone really gets into it.
🐉 🐲 My favorite holiday tradition is when my daughter and I exchange books on Christmas Eve and then stay up late snacking and reading our new books!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and happy reading in the new year!!
My favorite Christmas tradition was going to church for the midnight candlelight service. It was magical to hold my lighted candle, very carefully of course. 🐉
🐲🐉Many things are special about Christmas, but I love watching everyone open up their stockings on Christmas morning! Thanks for your generosity :0) Merry Christmas!
🐉 one of my favorite holiday traditions growing up is baking cookies with my mom. Now with my own daughter she has joined the baking club. Another one I have started with my 2 year old is a book advent calendar! Merry Christmas! This is such a generous idea!
I don't know if I'd call it a tradition per se, but on Christmas Day, I would always be awoken to the smell of my mother cooking and the sounds of her blasting Christmas music while she was in the kitchen. The Temptations, Michael Jackson, etc. Unfortunately, she passed away six years ago. But I can't listen to 'Silent Night' by The Temptations or some other Christmas songs without fighting back tears.
Merry Christmas! 🐉 I have so many favorite holiday traditions. One is having a baking day with my daughter, mom, and sister. Baking, listening to Christmas music, and laughing all day ❤
My favorite tradition is my mom giving us a book every Christmas Eve. Her parents started it when she was young. I still get one from my mom even at 43 years old!
What a nice idea! 🐉 Merry Christmas Sarah! My favorite Christmas tradition currently is playing board games with our family after dinner & gift exchange. (My kids are adults now.) However, when my kids were younger, my favorite tradition was doing my diy activity advent calendar with my kids. Each drawer of our advent calendar had a slip of paper with a Christmas related activity on it…predetermined by me based on time needed vs time available that day (of course, that’s the only way some would work!). Some activities were just fun (watching a Christmas movie or tv show; reading The Night Before Christmas; going ice skating; seeing a Christmas play; going to Christmas parties; etc.) but others were designed to get the kids to participate in holiday preparations in fun way without them necessarily realizing they were “helping” with the work. (The idea came about bc I felt like I was constantly pushing my kids away from me at this time of year so I could get things done and I wasn’t spending any time with them.) Holiday Prep activities included: getting a tree; decorating the tree; coloring/painting/stamping gift bags for grandparents’ and teachers’ gifts; signing cards for teachers, coaches, etc; sometimes helping create gifts (art project or just assembling…candy in jars, etc); wrapping gifts; baking cookies; decorating a mini tree for their room; setting up their toy nativity set in their room; making gift tags; and other similar things depending on age/skills. Christmas Eve was always going to the candlelight church service and when time allowed, reading the Christmas story from the Bible. (Especially if we didn’t all make it to church bc one of us was sick or weather was treacherous.) I hope you are having a magical Christmas season with your family and wishing you a blessed new year!
🐉 my favorite tradition is baking gingerbread houses for my kids to decorate, then eat. The tradition has evolved and now they are gluten free gingerbread houses.
🐉 One of my favorite traditions is ordering Chinese food for Christmas Eve. We started this when we were newlyweds and the only restaurant open after the Christmas Eve service was Chinese. Now, it means focus can be on cooking for Christmas day.
Breakfast casseroles on Christmas morning has been a tradition I had growing up. My husband and I have continued it as adults too :) 🐉 Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
My favorite holiday tradition is listening to Christmas music and baking cookies with my family. My grandkids are old enough to bake now and I love seeing the joy they get from this holiday tradition. 🐉
Merry Christmas Sarah! 🎄 One of my fave traditions aside from church on Christmas Eve is an appetizer dinner and games on Christmas Eve with my family. My mom did it with us when we were young and I just love it!🐉

Im generally all Mystery/Thriller and Historical Fiction...but you make me want to try Fantasy!! Lots of favorite traditions... but I love Christmas Eve Candlelight Service and I do love wrapping presents! I don't like shopping generally but I love to plan Christmas gifts for my friends and do boxes of goodies like you all do for each other!! I LOVE your channels!! Merry Christmas!
🐉 One of our holiday traditions is we go to my in-laws for Christmas breakfast and open presents and then we have my family over to my house and open presents in the afternoon. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Sarah. I love watching your videos and hearing your thoughts on books. Thank you for all the content throughout the year. I'm also a big fantasy reader, so I'm excited to hear your thoughts on those books next year!🐲On Christmas Eve, my husband and I drive around town, looking at all the Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music. Then we get sushi for dinner, then go home and watch Scrooged with Bill Murray. 🍣🎄
🐲one tradition is our family draws names for a big Christmas gift but we buy small stocking stuffers for everyone - trying to come up with the most unique items.
Merry Christmas to everyone! 🎄 My favorite tradition is cookie decorating and watching a Christmas movie. Sometimes we watch Sound of Music and sometimes we watch something else but it's my favorite. This year was really special because my niece was old enough to decorate so it was fun to see her have fun! 🐉
🐉 It has been so fun watching you and your besties open your gifts this year! I shared a few Christmas traditions with Amanda and Krista and thought I would share a third one with you. 😊 When my children were little, we would set up our nativity set without baby Jesus. On Christmas morning, the kids would run to see if baby Jesus had been born, and there He was in the manger! It was a fun reminder of the reason for the season and a precious memory now that my children are adults and live many miles away.
Our family attends Christmas Eve services at our church and then we come home to watch Christmas Vacation and eat a big snack spread. Merry Christmas to you and your whole family!🐉
🐉 favorite holiday tradition was when I was a child and my sisters and I would sing Christmas carols together. My mom recorded us singing one year when I was around 2 and my dad sang Rudolph along with my sister and now we have that recording to listen to whenever we want❤ Merry Christmas 🎄
🐲🐉 Our Christmas tradition started a few years ago. My husband and I've lost our parents (between 2019-2021) so we decided to make a 19 hr drive to AL to the beach over Christmas break to meet GA family for a week of memories. It's sad our kids miss a traditional Christmas but, we all look forward to our new tradition each year 💚

I love watching the booktube besties unwrapping videos every year. So generous of you to include viewers this year. One of my favorite traditions is getting together with my parents to look at Christmas lights.🐉
🐉 That’s so nice of you Gals!! On Christmas Eve, my entire family would meet at my aunt’s house to have family dinner and gifts. My grandmother worked for Avon so my grandfather’s van would be filled with Avon boxes all filled with numbered gifts. All of us grandchildren had to wait until each number was called out to open them (they usually ranged from 15-20, we were spoiled). My poor grandfather would spend all afternoon loading them and unloading them and then carrying box after box downstairs. They’re both gone now but those memories are some of my best ❤️🩹
Merry Christmas, Sarah!! 🐉. A favorite tradition I have done for years is taking Christmas pics and then scrapbooking a Christmas album!! It's fun to look back on previous years!!
My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the Christmas tree. I love the smell of the tree and sparkle of the lights. I, also, love the lights of the Chanukah menorah which increases each night as we add the newest candle. The last night all eight candles and the shamash helper candle.

🐲🐉Merry Christmas Sarah! One of my favorite Christmas traditions is putting one piece of our Nativity set out every day leading up to Christmas!
