So good to see the shoes on a live foot and to see you walk in them. It gives the viewer a deeper understanding of what the specific shoe looks like. All online shoe websites should use a short video of someone walking in the shoe. I vote for the Everdon. Its a bit less formal.
Great video, man! I just picked up the Everdon in Black Bison and gum sole. So far, I'm very impressed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Always enjoy your vids, man. Keep them coming.
The low top in shell are my favorites. I looked at their website and think the color way you chose is the most versatile (that color with the gum sole is sharp!). I do like that high top also, but would go with the low top first as (like you said) it's more of a classic clean look. I want a pair!!
@@Shellvedge that's 500 dollar difference is shell cordovan that big a difference to justify price difference.....the 400 dollar shoe leather look just as good.. what do u think?
6 month update? How are they feeling? I have a pair of Cordovan Everdon coming in G Fit. Hoping the wider fit is good for the narrower toe box. I'm hyped. Watched this video 5 times already.
I have a few pairs of Crowns. The Cavalier Ink is some of the most beautiful stuff I've ever seen. The pull-up is gorgeous. I wear them camping and riding my bike around town, because I want to put as much wear on them as possible. They just keep getting prettier.
I have five pair of crown's myself including the harlestons in shell cordovan. You really can't put into words the comfort, quality and build of this shoe. Wore them today and as I was walking, that's all I could think was this is by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. The ink color is absolutely gorgeous and now it looks like I have to purchase several new pairs based on this new model. It looks stellar.
Just received my pair of shell cordovan Harlestones. Love the looks of the shoes and they fit really well, but OMG these squeak like crazy. Have you encountered this with any of your Crown Northampton shoes, and did you find a solution for this?
Great informative content, I have had recent correspondence with Crown Northampton regarding the grey veg tan leather Harlestone, some reports say it has a magenta type hue in certain light. If I pull the trigger it`s these or grey buffalo hide with the white sole. Your videos have been a fantastic help. Keep up the good work,. All the best from the UK.
🥬🥬🥬 I’m wondering if the toe shape has to do with the fact that the Everdon’s have a single piece of leather wrapped all around, vs the Harlestons being made up of several leather pieces.
I tried to take the laces out of the shoe. The aglet broke and became soft and there unusable. Putting the laces back in the shoe is impossible because of the 4 stitches on the tongue. First pair ever for me that are "unlaceable". Shipping them back for a refund. Totally absurd. Please try it for yourself and see what I mean. Good luck :)
Thank you for the review as although you received the sneakers for free, you were balanced with positives as well as limitation of the shoe I have a pair and found that removing and re-lacing the boots very difficult as the stitching keeping the tongue in place is present. Do you have a similar issue?
I appreciate that! Yeah I didn’t completely unlace them, but enough difficulty with just tightening them at times that I can for sure anticipate that. I actually hope to have a chat with some of the folks from crown Northampton soon, and will for sure share this!
Nice video thanks. What I do not like about the Everdon range is specifically the end of the lacing area (at the toe-end) being so rounded, it is in my eyes not an example of sharp styling and I think Crown should have gone for a more angular shape that tapered more aggressively. I will stick with my Harlestones!
Thanks! Yeah it’s possible, but the more angular the more complex the fit would become in that areas which would either cause a more tightly fitting shoe which would limit the fit options or it would need to be a larger volume which would create some unsightly folding and rippling. That said, everything isn’t for everyone so completely understand!

Thank Q! Yeah they’re built extremely well with some very nice hallmarks of traditional shoes!
Thanks for the introduction to this brand. Certainly a consideration for an evergreen sneaker alternative
Happy to share! Appreciate the message!
Love the mid cut.

Yeah I completely agree on all counts! I’m hoping to do a review of my harleston (low top) soon, keep an eye out!

I’m blown away at how classy and low profile these are
Great thorough review. Details mean everything.

I have 741 pairs of Crowns myself! I like to wear them while sitting on my golden toilet eating caviar.
you got any pics of these, would like to see them worn in
So far I am looking at the harelston, probably going to make my decision this coming week
If you had a second choice on color which one would you choose? I really like the blue.

Have the same but do not have an issue with squeaking. I have five pair.

Great to hear John! Hope you enjoy whichever you go with!
Thanks just subscribed.@@Shellvedge
Any update on them?
They could use a slightly elastic thread on the tongue to help with getting the shoe and keep it in place 😁

These are beautiful shoes
A little unrelated, but where is your shirt from?
Have you noticed if the Harlestone shoe rubs your Achilles? Shoes of that height in the rear typically do hence why I'm asking.
I’m looking to replace some New Balance 574s. Would you think someone could walk miles like they can in a modern sneaker?
🧤
How are these as far as size im 12 us and they suggested i get a 11 uk you think that will work?
Yes that will work generally UK sizes are a number smaller for the equivalent US size.

Some day I will have this one.
Glad you like them as much as I do!
would rather get common projects or MMM army trainers, tbh, but interesting sneaker and materials
These run circles around the common projects, which are hugely overpriced for their build btw.
@@rustygates3367 Yeah, seriously. Common Projects is priced about 3x more than they should be. Really cheap build quality.

Fanatic! 💪🏻Ty!
I hope he is not calling Chris “mark” 😂
@@jimblack8104 chris and mark are 2 different people. 💪🏻
@ 😉 thank you for the video
That upper is not great. There’s already visible signs of sugariness which is not good.. definitely not at a near 500 USD price piint
Problem with these is the cushion can never be as good as mainstream foams like literide crocs and so on...
It’s not really a cushioned sneaker, ya know? It’s a leather insole, with a rubber outsole. Not really in the same realm as crocs.
Thats a bad shoe… and the clip with the jean…. Man i have to have a pair
Its giving gnome........maybe as a low top? Not a good look as is
