@@IrLosin I think the fact that there are factions and quest objectives etc is quite conducive to voip silliness. Whereas in DayZ the prerrogative is killing the other guy and taking all his shit before he does it to you.
This Press bit needs to be a weekly episode, I haven't laughed that hard in a while and it helps make EFT less stressful.

This entire skit has jogged my brain that the devs should introduce a camera item into the game, and missions that require you to go to certain locations and get pics and vids of certain buildings etc. Reconnaissance missions.
Like getting photographic evidence of the cultists for example. The world must know!
"The Press" needs to be it's own quest in Tarkov: Survive a raid in PRESS armor without any weapons. Optionally - Extract with another player )
The press questline:
Scoping the battlefield - extract a raid in PRESS armor without any weapons.
Ride-along - extract a raid in PRESS armor without any weapons, with an armed squadmate.
Interview - extract a raid in PRESS armor without any weapons, with a player scav.
It would be even cooler if you had to use a VHS camera and record some combat before you extract.

Can we “the community” agree that anyone with press armor and UN helmet with no gun gets to go free? It would be hilarious to be playing late game and see some dude just casually walk through a fire fight knowing he is safe.

Nearly choked on my food 3 times watching this video, best lunch break I've had in a long time lolol Absolutely comedy gold, we need more of this and perhaps even other RP like a field medic healing/nurturing others or like a traveling tradesman, just tons of ammo/items to sell and trade on the go.
In Apex Legends people would "shop keep" and just hoard loot in a room and offer it peacefully to anyone passing through. This game is made for it.

VOIP has added something that was so sorely missing from Tarkov. It's supposed to be this gritty survival story of people trying to escape the area and before VOIP it was this shoot-on-sight simulator. Now though, you can talk your way out of a situation - often times trading supplies they need for your life, or even just coming to an understanding. I have now several times found myself running around with people I'd never met for 15 minutes and cooperating to get our quests done and it has been fantastically wholesome.

Thought the same thing, I bet having a camera and getting footage of certain areas would be an easy thing for the devs to invent.
@@theterminaldave helmet cams are already spoken of so I can see this, it might be very fun endgame type quests. Like the footage from the Raid series in Labs

That was unbelievably incredible. This is my favorite tarkov video of all time. Especially when you're sitting in the middle of the construction firefight screaming "YOU CANT SHOOT ME IT IS A WAR CRIIIIIMMMMEEEE!"

This is pretty funny lol, I actually walking into the grocery area I interchange to 12 scavs sitting in a circle telling Tarkov stories, when I walked up they said " shhh it's story time" so I walked up and sat there lol
I've been looking forward to someone doing this RP since the PRESS armor was added, the VOIP really just made this much more possible.

This makes me sad that literally NOBODY in Asia has their VOIP turned on. I've tried to say hi to everyone I've encountered but all I get is silence. It's weird because people are fine with using their mics in other games, but in Tarkov everyone's deaf and mute
they really should have it on by default and cant be turned off. I mean I know its a risk and having people uninterested in exchanging words in the middle of a gunfight is "realistic" but c'mon! I'm literally dying to talk to someone over here lol
I mean in my experience playing CS in asian server, what you get is either a Chinese saying something in the line of "i fuck your mother" or some dude with songs blasting

A news reporter? That's a rare one! The last TV persona I saw before the war in the Norvinsk Region was this incredible gunologist and his team from Tarkov Geographic, studying the growth patterns and population diversity within the Tarkov biome. I found his report on the "Evolution of the Cursed Gun User" to be most intriguing, what fascinating creatures!

@@kookoo9235 The fact that their careers depend on the health of the game, and this community shits on any feature or change thats not perfect, it is kind of courageous to implement a feature that changes the dynamic of the game this much. Courage isnt binary its a spectrum. Little acts of courage can indicate a lot about what a person might do in more dire circumstances. keep your chin up.
Honestly, I haven’t seen it used in a toxic way so far. It’s all been pretty respectful, even when you’re talking to who you’re fighting against. It’s been really awesome and only added to my enjoyment of the game.

An escort quest with an NPC would be HORRIBLE. Actually, I don't think there's a single escort quest in the history of videogames that is not enraging (unless the NPC is invulnerable). Just imagine escorting a dumb NPC who is doomed to stuck somewhere along the route, with all the enemy players and scavs trying to kill you
@@maraheters of course it would be horrible for the people doing the quest that's the point of an escort mission but after you finally beat it you get to be an absolute menace to the people still doing it.

Did you use some kind of voice effect? If so maybe make more personalities for variation and lower risk of detection.
I'd love a "medic named dick" who is packed with CMS and also yells about red cross and the sections of the Geneva conventions being broken, , "Manny the war veteran" that mostly gets flash back to 'Nam, and maybe "Cindy that found her uncle's account open" and is an absolute beast from Alabama. Her uncle Duke is in hospital with covid.
Just make some test personalities and see what happens. Maybe make two or three rules about stuff the character always reverts to talking about, catch phrases and whatnot.
The war journalist is gold, tough.
If Nikita adds more non-lethal items to hold in hand like flashlights, riot shield etc. it could take role-playing VOIP a long way in Tarkov.

This is the content I never knew I needed. I kinda want BSG to add a proper Press Outfit that doesn't allow equipping weapons and has a camera model. Genuine war reporting would be insanely cool content :)

@@sirzebra If I'm not mistaken, they have done similar things in the various Twitch rivals. I remember one of the challenges being: extract with UN clothes/dressup. So this is far from a silly idea, but the "reporter" playstyle must have more than that imho to be implemented as an actual game mechanic!
Roleplay by itself is fine anyway, I mean, it's awesome as it is
I feel like this is perfect. you have transcended playing the game. so now you just observe other players actions
I love VOIP. I’ve survived so many situations simply by using it. I was a scav and I turned a corner and got knocked on the chest and legs by a shotgun. I started acting a little bit like coughing IRL and saying “Fuck that hurt… gawd I don’t wanna die man. I’m just a scav”
He then stopped firing. Equipped a knife and replied with “I have a knife out! Just let me help! What kind of bleed do you have? I can help!”
Then as he dropped the bandage I said “I don’t wanna diiiiiie”
I used the meds, coughed a little more. And asked “why didn’t you kill me?” He said “You gotta be nice to someone eventually. There can’t just be hate in the world.”
I think this is by far the funniest Tarkov video I’ve watched. VoIP has made the game so much better
