It makes sense the water would process lighter. Water is two molecules hydrogen snd one hydrogen, it helps with the oxidizing process. I used to use biosilk in a mix of 30gm bleach and 30gm developer. I would use no more than half a tablespoon. Try it again with just a touch of oil.
Not me feeling THE SHOOK THAT SHOOK MY WORLD because you, the absolute GOAT, shared our dm exchange 😍 Funny enough I have also mixed Kenra clay lightener with blondeme and I feel that also helped to lessen swelling too😂
I LOVED this video! I use BlondeMe and love it but it does SWELL. I know it wasn't your favorite in the other video and it's just what works for me. I don't know why people get mad about your opinion! LOL!!! But I still appreciate the information you give. I've always seen the water hack and never tried it but wanted to but was scared. I saw on your Instagram that someone suggested Hush too but it's a bummer that they don't make it any more. Thank you for making these videos. F the haters! If people don't like your videos or think you should make them another way, maybe they should make their own.
Thank you so much! You do you and I'm glad that it works for you. That's the beauty of this industry. There are a 1000 ways to do one thing. As far as these haters, they are there to remind me I'm doing something right. Otherwise you're right, they would make their own videos.
Also…. The wildest one I’ve heard is sweet n low packets in your lightener so that it doesn’t sting for on scalp applications… That one I heard on @holyhair channel❤
@@mikaanderson1690 Most hairstylists use 1:1.5 ratio 7Vol with BlondeMe. Like I explained at the end, when using these hacks, I was advised to mix all bleach at 1:1.
@@mikaanderson1690 yes, I have two videos using BlondeMe and they all swelled the same. That’s why I used it in this example. If you want to see for yourself, watch the first Bleach video guide and the mixing ratio video.

This was my first time using it and I definitely felt like it should have been less oil 3 grams was too much. Thank you for the suggestion.
Please make a video where you test out oil based and cream lighteners :)
I’m planning on it! 😉

Yes! Sweetnlow is a common one for reducing the sting 😅
Matrix High Riser 9 levels I heard it does very good job.
That begs the question - would adding Olaplex prevent swelling too???
@@laurahall6900 🤯 that would have been a great one to test.
What developer did you use 20 volume or 30?
20Vol

I've NEVER seen anyone use 1:1 in Schwarzkopf bleach

1:1 is also why you got more lift. The less oxygen = more lift. I wonder if it was mixed to manufactures instructions if it would effect the swelling?
