  • In this video, join me as I walk you through the process of installing hair extensions! Whether you're looking to add length, volume, or simply switch up your hairstyle, hair extensions can be a great option. I personally use ‪@donnabellahair‬ because honestly, they're simply the best extensions I've ever used. Use this video as guidance to help you perfect your installment method.
Not only are they affordable, but they are super high quality and make performing these types of transformations easy!
We started by removing her old extensions using the ‪@donnabellahair‬ Stork Shears and gently brushed out her natural shed. Now yes, I usually wash the hair before I install new extensions, BUT I needed some of those natural hair oils since we were going to be doing some major coloring.
I washed the extensions BEFORE installing and made sure the roots of them were dry. It's important you're always washing the hair before installing OR coloring!
Once installed, we gave her a split dye using ‪@phlaboratoriesofficial645‬ 5.66 + 6.4 on her root with 20 volume, and the same formula with 10 volume for her ends. We used the ‪@phlaboratoriesofficial645‬ no ammonia lightener with 20 volume for her highlights.
this was QUITE the adventure to rinse out (lol) but we made it happen!
what did you guys think? we are IN LOVE with her color + new inches. we used 22 inches in shade Hybrid Weft Premium Platinum Light Blonde. We ALMOST used 2 FULL packs too! And she still looked like it was her real hair ;)

Beautiful! And some of your other install videos I’ve seen you use a larger stitch length and more beads at the base and also I’ve seen you start a couple of beads back and then go forward and then go do the whole row. I’m curious why you’ve changed your method? Thanks!

Amazing ! So you don’t thread it through each side of hair next to the bead? You just thread right side by side all the way through??

thank you so much! yes I thread all the way through, not just the corners of the bead. but I don't thread through the bead, just directly on top (if that makes sense!)
