Eurostar doesn't go to Germany. As for trains going from France (where they run on the left--on most, but not all, lines) to Germany (where they run on the right), I would guess there is some crossover point at or near the border, if such is necessary.

@xTheAnnoyingDevilx Eurostars are two 9 coach sets back to back - total length is about 400m or 1/4 mile
@edj66 HS1 has in-cab signalling and ATP and the line speed is 186mph for a 373, or 140 for a 395.
Rode the damn thing....25 minutes from St. Pancras to the north portal. In France 57 minutes from the highball in London.
