Nice truck Pete and glad you got it running again! Your c1500 series is inspiring me to continue investing time and money into mine.

Nice! Thanks! The more I use the truck, the more I love it.

What size jack stands did you use? Worried I won't have enough room to get it out, or too much height to use my transmission jack. I have the same vehicle, same transmission.

I used 6 ton stands at max height with two 2x4's on each. It was sketchy as hell, but stable. I also used a transmission jack. You can tip it a little to get the bell housing to clear.

      @@PetesPlaceGarage I appreciate it man, I didn't see the 2x4's lol.

Hey love the video. Do you by chance know the identification number for the transmission? Needing mine replaced and the shop is asking for an id number for this same tranny you got, if it’s 2wd. I don’t have my tranny anymore so I can’t go out and look. I know it has the “md8” but believe they need the actual id number/ vin whatever you call it lol. If you got the number I’d appreciate it

What size driveshaft does the truck have ?

I don't know exactly. I didn't change anything, really, so I kept the stock driveshaft.
