This is fantastic timing, my roll 2 battery just went! I hope this is just as good as the original!
I still have my UE Roll 2. Matter of fact its on my bed rn. i pulled it out the other day. I had two of them for stereo mode but someone stoled one out my car, i havent used it much since the. But i can say it still sounds good for what it is.
What year did you buy it? I believe it came out in 2016, so if it's that old and still holding a decent charge that is impressive.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews I got mines In online auction in 2020 so I couldn't really tell you. The price of them really shot up after they stop making them, they can go for 200-300 brand new
the ROll 2 was the loudest best portable bike style speaker I had ever used. Bass wasn't the best, but overall loudness and sound was one of , if not, the best small style strap speaker. That being said, I'd be curious to see this versus the Tribit that you busted out earlier, because that has become the current best portable strap style speaker from my experience. The bass is actually present, and the clarity when tuned right is superb. Appreciate all your vids!
UE isn't known for bass like JBL. I'll probably do some videos of these smaller speakers and compare some in the near future. I try and get in what I can when I have time. 😉
Just got a Miniroll wow great sound gets loud as well love this speaker great video this speaker is well made great design yes it’s pricey but sounds great.
Enjoy!
I picked up a wonderboom 4 the other day. I’ve got the first and second generations but couldn’t bring myself to buy the third generation with the type b charging port.
Is there much of a sound difference?
@@waynedexter sounds similar to the WB2 with slightly more bass. The WB1 isn’t as loud but has more bass in my opinion.
I'm undecided with buying this one or JBL clip 5. I can't find any review that compares these 2 speakers. Probably due to the EU MINIROLL being too new. I've heard the JBL clip has a really decent sound for its size, but I prefer the strap on the UE MINIROLL, because the speaker won't be wobbly no matter where I strap it in. Unlike the JBL clip series.....
do you know when it will be released ??
Can I connect this speaker to a JBL Go 4 because they both have auracast?
+ 1 for this question
Does this have tweeters in it like the older model do you know output power 5 watts?sounds nice when u hold it up. The price on UE seems higher than other brands.
The MiniRoll is a smaller speaker than the old Roll 2, which was quite a bit larger. The MiniRoll only has a single active driver and a passive radiator.
I wonder if its still a woofer and a tweeter or 2 like the last!
This is a smaller speaker than the older Roll speakers. The MiniRoll has one active driver and one passive radiator.
@JaysStraightUpReviews hell I'll still take one!
Can you do altec Lansing hydra boom please
I don't have a Hydraboom. I did a HydraShock video quite a while back. You can check that one out if you want.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews ok thanks
Link to speaker in description. At 0:24 I want to call UE EA for some reason. 😆 Not the first time and I'm sure not the last.
sounds not bad only if they had an aux input....
Sadly, a lot of companies started removing the 3.5mm jack on speakers a few years ago. 😟UE doesn't even include a charging cable with the MiniRoll. 😧
@@JaysStraightUpReviews May I suggest you to always mention absence of 3.5mm jack as a serious drawback in your reviews and may be a little spark can ignite a fire big enough making companies go back to putting that back like it should be.
