This DIY is ridiculously easy and cheap to make, but looks awesome on your wall. it's perfect to make as a gift for music lovers, or just to hang on your own wall. Hope you enjoy seeing the project, and make sure you give it a thumbs up if you did!
You'll need:
- An old scratched up record (Charity shops are good places to hunt in)
- Clock movement amzn.to/1U8auuP
- spray paint B001W03PL8
- masking tape

For the longest time I've had a rainbow, oil paint, wood palette hanged up on the wall in my room. I said I was going to turn it into a clock but never did. This video inspires me to purchase the clock mechanism and actually have a rainbow paint palette clock in my room. Thank you.

I am turning our loft into a music and reading chill out area. I have records, CDs, books. I Bought a record player and it is nice to listen to vinyl Lps again. And I wanted to put music themed things in the area. A clock made out of an old LP is something I'd like. Found your video and its great.

What I didn't realise was that there's quite a reasonably big market for it, Ebay are selling them in spades. Who needs boring numbers and roman numerals when we've got our vinyls and vintage labels. Thanks again.

love your clock! I made a similar one but instead of painting an old vinyl, I tracked an old AC/DC vinyl in the flea markets of my town, took a few monthes to find the right one but it allowed me to keep the label that I loved !

What did you use to hang it on the wall?
This is so sad I just came up with this idea on my own and looked to see if anyone else has done it.
I'm wanting to do the same thing to a picture disc, but I can't find a clock movement that the threads fit through the hole of a 33. Everyone I've found are just a tad to big. Did you have to modify the hole on the your record?

Sure. But it doesn't even make sense to have a blank record. And, YOU CAN MAKE IT WITH ANY RECORD YOU WANT is something you should have mentioned! I have done podcasting. You have to think this shit out before you record it. Just saying. @@charlimarieTV
