So funny, back at school.. mid-80's, two classmates were arm wrestling, it had been going on for about an hour, I got bored of it all, and pushed em over. Morrissey would have been proud.
moz was obsessed with boxers and everyday violence when he recorded southpaw grammar so he'd often make himself up to look like he had just gotten in a fight.

"i love karen, i love sharon" on the windowscreen with never the need to fight or to question a single thing" Unlike that lady on Romper Room, Moz said my name!!
Morrissey, Gripper Stebson and a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth - bloody Nora...!
Heaven
Morrisey looks iconic cool in this classic video.
He'll spoil your pool game and look back at you as he walks out the door. Badass
That pub is now called the Havering Well on Rush Green Road. More Romford than Dagenham I'd say, nice quiz on a Wednesday night 😊
Rush green
Got to be the song with the fastest chorus ever. Great song a true Brit pop classic.
The absolute highlight is "But you get the general idea..."
I LOVE that line! 😁
a song whose best moment is when the singer gives up on it
Morrissey and Gripper Stebson, absolute classic
Fantastic.
Love this song, Southpaw Grammar is so underrated.
ah the clever underrated comment
It's definitely a slow burner and one of my favourite Morrissey albums.
Morrissey gives me hope for humankind.
Lol how about now?
Yep. Stil.

Nice of Morrissey to pop into the mid 90's and write the best Britpop song.
Beats anything Blur ever made .
Some lovely cars in this one :D nice suit too.
Love it - wearing a tuxedo coat, casually, in the daytime. What a badass.
Who’s more rock n roll? Nobody
Super dandy
Still one of the greatest songs ever!!
I'm Dave from Dagenham, hello everyone.
Nice! Go Hammers!
Hello Dave.

I really love the pool bastard part at 00:42 - i laugh so hard every time.
So funny, back at school.. mid-80's, two classmates were arm wrestling, it had been going on for about an hour, I got bored of it all, and pushed em over. Morrissey would have been proud.
I used to be clued up on Ford cars i.e the Cortina, Granada, Fiesta,Capri,Sierra and Anglia!, I couldn't name one these days.
Dagenham dustbins. They all ended up as rust buckets
I had a Cortina back in the early '80s in California, never seen or heard of one since.
The Stranglers also had a song under this title (1977)...
Aye about their friend/fan who worked at the Ford Factory and tragically topped himself.
@@imogenimeson664 thank - you for that information, cheers virtual friend
Yeah… at first I thought it was going to be a cover. Thankfully he spared us that indignity.
Well I always thought Stranglers tipped their hat to the New York Dolls (Go Buddy Go/London Lady) and well Morrissey's a fan.
"I love carrot, I love shallot" - that's the one Moz should have on his own window screen :D
I had a car with morrissey on the windowscreen in 95
Reggie Kray era Morrissey is undefeated.

No....they took it from Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy.
Love this song ❤
Just realised the pictures on the wall at 1:24 are Frank and Pat Butcher from Eastenders.
Superb!
Never mind Gripper Stepson and Morrissey. That’s Carmen from Bread ( Jenny Jay ).
Starring Gripper Stebson of course...
Wonderful ❤️

Sure it wasn't where Southpaw hit him?
👍One of My favourites & I get the general Idea 😂
I like how the Men's Room icon has Morrissey's haircut.
Great pop song, featuring a superior Moz haircut.

I used to live in Dagenham... 1989-90 ... it's the colour of the houses... that's all you need to know.
Don’t you mean the pebbledash? Dagenham houses aren’t pastel coloured like in Notting hill or in some places in Scotland
has any body noticed the guy at 02:43 thats the same guy that come in boy racer music video
Man, what an eye you got!
Yes he's called Jason Rush, and he's in the video to 'The Last Of The Famous International Playboys'

Such a great song and video.
Best part is when Morrissey takes a cigarette just because it is offered.
He likes a smoke when drinking according to Andy Rourke.

Dagenham, the last bastion of the Cockneys. Or at least the closest thing to it
In London recently, didn't hear a single cockney accent, foreigners mainly.

Another Morrissey goodie.
Got Mark Savage who played Gripper Stepson from Grange Hill in this video, never noticed it before.
My biggest crush...so hot

Absolutely brilliant end of.
Its Gripper Stebson!
The outro should be an intro 🤘
