Hi Vanessa! May you live stream the cat and dog show please if possible for people who can’t make it there? Or will you share a video of the show as well as snippets on the BTS of the whole day? 😊
To Angus’ fur-ever family, he’s a beautiful dog. 🥰
I hope it goes well, tomorrow.
I hope all goes well! Its amazing that you‘re doing this but please stay safe! Many weirdos out there.
Much love! 💜
Wishing you all the best Vanessa. I couldn't be there so donated. Looking forward to a video of the day. Senior dogs deserve the best of everything 💖🙏💐
Wish you all lots of fun at the fundraiser. Greetings from Germany 😘
Hearing the taken back due to neglect, sounds like the breeder was like, "I'm sorry but I didn't realize you were going to be awful to this pup." Then hearing the poor dog was locked in a crate. Glad they got a happy ending.
Yeah! Not to mention they were adopted in one month after being returned! Why is no one talking about that? That's such a short time, incredible, really.
@@sipi2009
Probably because they didn't know. She said he was returned at 9 mos and adopted again at age 1, so...
@@sipi2009three months to new adoption. 9 months returned 1year adopted is three months.
Breeders should screen buyers.
@@deedorothypapineau6920 There is another TH-cam Channel, Doggie Day Care Farm Trips, that fostered dogs as a side project. The families adopting those dogs, at least according to the channel, did/does check out the families.
I didn't know this breed was called collie until I was 9. Before that, they were Lassie dogs
Same:)
I still call them “Lassie dogs” 😊 lol
I call them Shetland sheepdogs as they look like them.
Precisely 🥰😄💯💛💛💛
Didn't we all call them lassie dogs?
haha
Glad he was returned to the breeder. Poor baby some people shouldn’t get dogs
Back when I was younger we got my old Labrador due to the family feeling they were "Not in the condition to care for it" when they basically lived mid city in a 2 story with no backyard, they also bitched about chewing up their 7 year old childs barbie dolls and being "uncontrollable with chewing" when we got him, he didn't chew, destroy or piss in door. The poor dog was basically just alone most of the day and bored, we had a huge backyard, and were active out there with the garden over half the year, if he waited at the door it meant he wanted company outside. So even in winter with the snow he just wanted me to go with him out there to do his business, fumble like the fool he was in the snow and get a few tennis ball throws in and get back inside. Else he was fine laying next to us or being near us watching tv or cooking and bedtime he slept in my bed until he got too old to get upstairs, then we let him go on the couch at that age and just kissed him good bye there. Even thou it has been 8 years since he died man I still miss him. Some dogs you really just connect with and become a true partner!
@@30763076On the plus side, they were at least able to recognize that they weren’t able to care for the dog. That unfortunately is something way too many pet owners don’t see
You are so correct, some people should never have pets.
@bunnyluv2535 My sister gained a pure bred cat because of a case like this. The breeder had a cat while the original owners went on vacation, it was brought in a cage, and had been in there for days at least, poo and pee all over her. When they came back they were told it ran away and gave the cat to my sister. Took months for the cat's coat to recover.
Yes that’s so true !! And it goes beyond dogs. I rescued a horse from human society once. Poor thing couldn’t hardly stand. Probably don’t make sense but I was glad to see him one day try to kick me. Lol. He was gaining strength. Turned out to be a beautiful horse. 😊
A proper Scotsman's name for this beautiful boy befitting his place of origin.
Yes...I loved that name for him. It suited him so well, didn't it?
I agree. Beautiful name for a beautiful lad. Angus is a fairly common name in my country.
The name is awesome, as well as the country of origin
The teeth bit (pun unintended) hit close to home. My doggo is a rescue, and his teeth were in really bad shape when we got him, so the vet had to pull all the ones between his fangs because they were begging to get infected. Never slowed him down though. Just makes his tongue stick out a lot.
That tongue sounds adorable 😊
Those were the incisors
Permeant blep ❤
loganbalmer2822: I rescued a Deerhead Chihuahua in 2017 from a hoarding/forced breeding situation, and her teeth were in horrible shape. Our vet ended up having to remove 13 of them, but she felt so much better once that was done. She turns 19 next month, and we hope she's around for a lot more years.
my friend also found her dog in terrible dental condition - she was most likely the bait/breeding dog in pitbull fighting, her teeth were worn down to almost the gums even though she was only approximately 5-6 years old when my friend found her. she found out that Rosie could never be crated because she chewed *through* metal crates on 2 separate occasions just by the sheer force of her jaw muscles and her gums (remember basically no teeth). not to worry though, Rosie got 13 spoiled years on a farm before my friend had to put her down this past spring 🥲
I'm so glad Angus was rescued. He's has a great life now and looks like a super model dog.
He is absolutely gorgeous. Poor baby, I'm so glad he has a forever family now that loves him ❤
He is so chill!
“What’s that Angus? The children are stuck down the well?!” 😜
😍😍😍
😂
I they were from his original family, he’d probably leave them there-and I wouldn’t blame him.
@@aliceanneacts6164 but dogs are better than those kind of people… he’d probably still want to save them 🥰
@@aliceanneacts6164 That, and lift his leg on the well.
@@QUICKBOOKS1 😂😂😂
I don’t mean to take it out on fictional kids-the adults have the responsibility, but still 😂😂😂
What a sweet boy. Im glad they returned him to the breeder and didnt drag out the neglect for his lifetime. So happy he found a forever home early on in his life. Thats a good boi right there.
Angus was such a sweet boy. Not one aggressive bone in his body. I am saddned by the mistreatment and difficult life he has had thus far. But, he is now in his forever home and the past is ''forgotten'. Great video
I love rough collies! 💖 Our dog Spikey was a rough collie. When I was a toddler, he helped me learn how to walk (I’d grab him, he’d stand up with me and slowly walk so I could practice) would eat anything I gave him and would chase away anyone who tried to wake to me up from my nap. He’d also let my parents know when I woke up from a nap. The best dog in the world. RIP Spikey 💖💖💖
I don't understand why RCs aren't more popular nowadays. I have seen a few at the dog park and they are beautiful and friendly as can be.
I had 2 Rough Collies growing up. both did not grow up together. My 2nd Rough Collie lived to 14 years of age but passed away from nose cancer that when to is brain.
I downsized to Shetland Sheepdog aka the Sheltie. My 1st sheltie lived to age 12 years passed away 6 month later in 2020. I got me my 2nd Sheltie in 2021. He turned 3 years old in 2024.
He's not just a good boy. He is the GOODEST BOY!
You made my heart full! I used to breed and show Rough Collies and have had them for 47 years. You treated his groom with gentility and sensitivity. He's very well bred. I am happy that he went back to the breeder and has found his forever home.❤️
Rough Collies are incredible and gracious dogs, I can't believe you would neglect such a beautiful dog 😢
How can people be so cruel. Thank you for all that you do for these dogs. 💕💕
At least they had the decency to return him.
@@Ophelia1023Nothing is "decent" about people who abuse and neglect animal. Even if they took this sweet boy back it was to get their money back and get rid of him NOT out of any care!!😡😡
@@vaw796 Decent in that they could have kept him in those conditions. Doesn't matter why he was returned
People are cruel since they started walking on two legs!
It sounded to me that they brought him back for boarding so they could take a vacation and breeder wouldn’t return him to them, as he should.
wow, Angus is such a chill dog
And so are Shelties
@@miamidolphinsfan
@@miamidolphinsfan All the shelties I know are really high energy, sensitive and vocal. They're lovely, but chill is not something I'd call them
@@miamidolphinsfan My cousin used to have shelties back in the 80s/90s, & they were all super sweet and 90% chill. I hear that more modern shelties have lost the "chill factor", but I don't know why (I suspect the same over-breeding that has damaged so many other breeds).
He was such a good boy but was so ready to go home! 😂 ❤
What a Supermodel!!! So relieved he was returned & found people that truly love & care for him & give him the life he deserves!!! Although I wish he never had to go through what he did. Beautiful grooming, as always, Angus is magnificent!!!✨💖
💜OHHH I JUST LOVE HIM!!! I know I am dating myself but who remembers the show Lassie?💜
The best dog our family had was a collie/malamute mix. She was everything you could ask for in a dog! So chill, gently protective, friendly, and smart as can be. She was gigantic and built like a tank so just her presence made people think twice about messing around her queendom.😅 Plus she was so intuitive about who could be trusted, could read people better than us. Her best friend was our Siamese cat and they passed within weeks of each other. ❤
He is such a sweet, peaceful, calm, dog, beautiful❤
He ended the day by rescuing Timmy from a well.
Angus is sweet and beautiful. So happy for him he has a forever home now ♥️🐾
Angus is such a handsome dog , and so good for the groom 😊
Had a tri color growing up. Jet was the smartest dog I ever had. Never made a wrong move. Wonderful dog. That was 65 years ago.
Angus in repose at the spa living his best life made my heart happy. Thank you, Vanessa, and thank you to his current people. ♥️
Collies are such beautiful dogs. I'm glad Angus has a family that loves him.
Did you ever have a more cooperative client? He's as good natured as he is beautiful. Majestic indeed!
Angus was such a good boy. I'm so happy to know that he found a forever family that will actually care for him as he should be.
That fur is so gorgeous
Omg, a Collie!! He's so tiny though...I almost thought he was going to be a large Sheltie, lol. He's gorgeous. I absolutely love Collies and Shelties. My first dog as a kid was a Sheltie and I taught her all sorts of tricks that she'd learn within minutes. They are so underrated as I hardly ever see them, but they have the best temperaments of any other dog I've ever been around. The coat is a lot as it does need daily brushing to prevent matting, but that's the only real "problem" with them. I used to take meticulous care of my Sheltie when I was a kid, though. I did all her grooming, including brushing her teeth. She would just lay on her back while I did her nails and never moved until I was done. She's been gone for almost 20 yrs now, but I still miss my little Lassie girl. I'd love to have another one some day, but I haven't been able to pick my dogs for the past 25 yrs, lol, so we'll see if any ever come my way...
Angus is the perfect name for this Scottish breed.
My daughter laughs at me when I "spoil" my cat. I do so because I keep seeing mistreated animals on TH-cam. I go out of my way to let my cat Ace know that he's definitely loved and wanted and is part of our family.
That’s why I refuse to get a cat until I can afford to treat them the way I think they deserve. Grantex I still won’t be able to afford to spoil them as much as I would if I had unlimited money, but still. Everyone’s like oh cats don’t need that much. And I like yeah, but I want to give them more than the bare minimum. Trust me I’ve been sorely tempted to just get a cat since I’ve gotten my own place, but that’d just be irresponsible. Luckily my financial situation should start improving in September.
@@madelinegarber7860, I applaud your sense of responsibility.
However, as someone who has never lived with a pet who wasn't a rescue or born to a rescue, some of those pets got the bare minimum. To me, that means adequate food, clean water, access to hygienic toilet facilities, access to appropriate shelter and above all, affection. Veterinary care is just a given. If you can't afford the vet, don't have a pet.
So, there is a living creature who would consider 'bare minimum' as the height of luxury and you deny it because it's not up to your standards. Seriously narcissist. Maybe you don't need to be responsible for anything except yourself.
@@bcaye yo misunderstand me. I know full well that vet care is a given. I’ve had cats most of my life. But what I’m saying is that right now I can’t really afford the bare minimum as you define it ontop of vet care which is why I’m waiting. All of our cats have been rescues too.
Ace has a good mum with you!
😅
Angus is a beautiful dog with great manners and respect to the groomer. I am so pleased that he was rescued and now lives in his happy place, he deserves it. Thank you Vanessa for sharing your work and all the very best with your fund raiser.
First came Kip and then came Chris are the two beautiful tri-color tough collies that I grew up with in the 1960's. Kip was dignified and Chris loved rough (no pun intended) play with me. Loved those two girls.
His second forever home has really taken great care of him; he was already gorgeous when he walked in, and he was BEAUTIFUL after you groomed him ❤️ what a good natured little man, I wish countless inconveniences upon his first home, HOW COULD YOU NEGLECT SUCH A WONDERFUL BOY
Collie's have such a regal face... very pretty dogs and floofy to boot
This upload should have been longer. Beautiful collie!❤
When i was 7 I went on a family vacation to California. We went to Universal studios and I meet Lassie. Although in hindsight, it probably wasn't the actual dog who played the part lol 😅😅😅
Beautiful dog's. Such a long snout!
My parents used to breed, raise, train and show rough Collies back in the 80/90's. High maintenance fur and LOVES the outdoor life on the farm and city alike. Very devoted and family friendly dogs! Out of all the litters they had raised, only one came back as part of the contract each new puppy owner must sign that the puppy must come back to the breeder if it is not working out or having to give up the puppy. I don't miss the work but miss having them around, such sweet sweet dogs! My parents trained their Collies in the Rutherford training method with our occasional obedience training sponsored by our local AKC clubs.
such a sweet, handsome boy❤ this hit me right in the heart. I had 2 collies, one that looked like Angus. my girl was in 3 homes before we adopted her at 1-1/2yo. she & her sister went over the bridge over 14yrs ago, miss them every day.
Lovely boy - what an angel! Best of luck for your event tomorrow! 🇬🇧
We had a collie growing up exactly like Lassie. My dad has to train him as a puppy but afterwards he was the sweetest and most loyal of dogs. He even loved getting a bath. It was like spa day to him.
Collies need structure but they can be the sweetest dogs.
What a sweet lovely boy! I'm glad they returned him. They family loves him!
Who could neglect such a gorgeous and sweet dog?!
So glad Angus now has his forever family that loves him. He's so handsome. And clearly a good boy that loves his treats! ♥
He’s stunning. Glad he’s with a caring forever home now.
Oh, I just want to hug him. So glad he got a second chance at a forever home. ❤
Angus is indeed angelic... super chill personality and such a handsome man...
Such a beautiful dog. He was silent, didnt move his body when his nails were trimmed.
Perfect angel dog.
Angus is a handsome pup. Such a good boy during his spa session. Very happy he has a loving forever ever home.
I know a lovely lady who rescued a malamute that was less than a year old from an abusive owner. She kept the malamute, and he's received lots a love, cuddles, kisses, ever since.
Poor dog being locked in a crate! So glad he was returned to the breeder and now has a forever home!
Angus is an absolutely Stunning doggo!! I feel so bad for his early treatment and hope he and his forever home are the happiest! Congratulations on the fund raiser, that is pretty incredible!
Angus looks like a model! The wind, a.k.a, the blow dryer blowing through his luscious fur, made me smile. ❤😊
My family raised and showed smooth collies. Even made it to Westminster and got high up in group.
Loved helping rise them from puppies and getting all the kid socialization from the beginning. Such a sweet loving breed
Cool!
I have a smooth collie.He’s so funny.He think he’s a little guy . An 82 pound leaner who’s right behind you.
To this day: my mom “hey you want to come over for some dog show Mac and cheese?!?”
😂
I have smooths! What’s your kennel name?
They are so majestic and they know it
A rough start to life for Angus; happily he has a good home now. He is a handsome lad ❤
One of the chillest dogs ever
Such beautiful dogs! Been one of my favorites since I was little.
Angus is not a pet... he's a spirit animal. ❤😂
Absolutely stunning dog. An “Angel” perfectly described him!
I have a Sheltie. She needs grooming every two weeks. Their coats are high maintenance! Collies and Shelties are very sweet dogs. Dental issues are quite common. Sweet baby!!
My dog is beauty AND the beast.
Bless his owners for rescuing him.
We had 6 rough collies. Daisy loved paddling but hated getting dried. Roscoe loved get dried but hated getting wet!!!!
Im so glad he found his forever home. What a beautiful baby! 😍
I have the same dog, 2 yrs old tricolor rough collie. Absolute sweetheart. Smart, gentle, always willing to do what's needed. We both like the grooming, it's our sweet moment.
Can't believe how well he is behaving for the groom, considering his background! His breeder and new owners have done a fantastic job, or maybe he's just born perfect. 🥰
My wife and I love watching your videos! Keep taking care of the animals we love the see the new dogs and cats!
What a little swwet heart ! He connected with you nose to nose. You got his acceptance ❤
I have to say, you always give a quick back ground of these animals in such a manner where it doesnt break us down. Your quick to put a positive spin on it.
Gosh he was so lovely
What a handsome & floofy dude. So glad that Angus finally has a proper Furever Home. I hope he adjusts. Thanks Vanessa & staff @ Girl With The Dogs. You're all awesome. 😁🇨🇦
Aw such a beautiful dog ❤🤗bless his sweetheart ❤🤗 shame on who ever was mean to this sweet fur baby ❤🤗🙏
What a beautiful breed. Too bad he had a tough start. Hopefully he will get to live the rest of his days enjoying life.
Can't get over the beautiful coat on this dog and how calm he is especially while getting his nails done.
Angus is a beautiful dog.
It was nice to see a dog so calm and peaceful; allowing you to groom him to perfection.!
🤩❤️🎉
I'm learning so much about different breeds of dogs and cats from watching this channel. And Vanessa is such an amazing groomer.
He looks just like my sweet Casey, although she was a Sheltie. Angus is so sweet tempered and gorgeous. Im glad he found a wonderful forever family.
Hims is literally the GOODEST of good boys omg
I haven't seen a collie for a long time. He's a beautiful dog.
He looked amazing after his groom. You're right; he's a total angel. 😇
Rough Collie was my first dog just loved him he was the runt of the litter but turned out to be the most beautiful and intelligent dog.
He reminds me soo much of my Australian shepherd who sadly recently passed away. He was such a good boy and very chill and calm in his later years.
I used to have 2 collies. I miss them every day. They were funky, little dudes.
Gosh this has got to be one of the most well behaved dog I've seen. 👌
Beautiful! So glad he is loved now
What a sweet beauty. Still taking treats from you during a stressful time. None of dogs would ever do that. Then the nose to nose was adorable. My senior dog I had to put down had a little tiny bit of Collie. She had the fur and herding from the Collie but colored like a Border Collie, which she was not.
We had a Collie when I was a kid. They are the most gentle and sweet dogs.
I love rough collies, I've always wanted to own one. My dad did as a teen and told me all the time about how smart and fun to train she was. He loved that dog so much.
It's devastating that Angus had to go through neglect like that. I'm so glad the breeder found out what happened and took him back, that's a responsible breeder for sure. I'm sure he's very happy in his new forever home, and despite being really nervous, was so polite for his groom. What a good boy!
How could anyone neglect such a sweet boy?! He seems perfect!
Angus, the softest angel.
Such confused, sad little face.❤
He looks like he’s really relaxed and enjoying his Spa day! Beautiful guy ❤️
Angus was a perfect gentleman & so beautiful. One of my favorite breeds ❤
He is so beautiful 🤩.
Such a Sweet Boy ❤.
Blessings to his forever family 💞.
Angus seems so much like a show dog. A perfect angel in every way.
Angus, you are one handsome dog. What a good boy! . Have fun at the event, Vanessa!
Rough collies are such an underestimated breed! They are calm, intuitive, gentle, intelligent, patient and overall perfect. I have a 4 yo blue merle female and I’ll never choose another dog breed ❤
Collies are indeed so majestic! Their head shape, snout, ears everything about them is so beautiful. I will never forget our collie 'Cita' when I was a child. We fostered her, but I remember her as sweet, protective of me and my best friend in my many, many times alone.
What a stunning boy.
Wow so well behaved despite what he’s gone through ! I miss my childhood collie !
Angus stole my heart!😭
