It is so sad that much of the wonderful history of Malta is gradually disappearing piece by piece. Thank you Pierre for documenting and making people aware of what can still to be experienced.
I have read and re read the incredible tale of the Siege of Malta more times than l remember. This video was absolutely fascinating thank you! I only hope the authorities realise before too much longer that it is the centuries of history that attract as much as the beaches!
Как жаль, что такие замечательные здания разрушены. Мальта - страна уникальных памятников архитектуры. Завидую Вам, что Вы живёте в такой стране. Удачи Вам, Пьер.
Wow, I did not know about the Chapel's existence, thanks for sharing. Something to explore next time I'm in Malta. Keep up all the good work and keep the videos coming as they are great. A very personal view of Malta.
Happy new year Pierre and Angelo interesting vlog.Another place I didn’t know about, what a shame that a site of such heritage is left in a state of deterioration.Hope that the local council can raise the funds to at least stop it from getting worse and maybe one day it might be restored for future generations.Thank you for a fabulous start of the new year adventures 👍🇲🇹
PROSET PIERRE FOR BEING PROACTIVE 🏆 - Saw news re your "Appeal" on LovinMalta for restoration of this historic beautiful place ⛪. Hope your passionate appeal doesn't fall on deaf ears 🙏 Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™. .
Thanks for a very interesting video to start the new year. It is such a shame the Chapel is in such a poor condition like quite a few of other buildings in Malta.Lets hope something can be done and get some help and get restored.Nice view looking out over Kalkara. Thanks Pierre and Angelo and looking forward to your next video.
A very well done Pierre and Angelo, you started the new year with a fantastic vlog featuring Our Saviour Gate and Chappel in Kalkara. The building is huge and very interesting. The Chappel has still a lot of decorations and 'affreschi' on the walls and arches. It's a shame to let it be destroyed further, hope something is done to at lease save what remains. It's part of the history of Kalkara and Malta. Congrat for being so well equipped. Thanks again for all. 👍👍
Thankyou Pierre and Angelo another fascinating video, we have not really explored Kalkara but I think we must next time we come to Malta, you said it contains a lot of history and what you showed us must have been truly magnificent in its day. Great work Pierre and Angelo 👍
Hi Pierre I am John Hili born in Kalkara 75 years ago I used to live a few meters up the road St Liberata str!! One thing you haven't mentioned that the place is private property. The size of the property consists from St Lawrence cemetery to the chapel!!! All that property was sold to a company who used to make prestressed concrete planks, incidentally one of the owners of the company was Raymond Mintoff the brother of Dom Mintoff himself who even managed to demolish part of the bastion to pass a road further up from the chapel-(((
SURE IT LOOKED AMAZING IN IT'S DAYS ⛪ ⚔ 🛡. SHAME it's been left in riuns. Let's hope KALKARA COUNCIL & HERITAGE MALTA take notice 🙏 . Pierre, I liked 'your' different take to the topic. (That's the beauty, you all got a different style). THANKS PIERRE & Angelo 👏👏. Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

thanks 😊👍
100%, such a beautiful place, be lost like this .
The second painting you showed seems to be St. Anthony of Padova. It's a pity that such treasures have been left to fall apart.
So true
Amazing sight 👍🏻
Thanks

Ezatt, anke il fat li din kienet kapella mimli ja pittura!
Prosit tal-informazzjoni. Din hija aċċessibli għall-publiku jew trid il-permess tal-kunsill biex tidħol fiha? Grazzi
Dan post abbandunat u fih diversi perikli
Very interesting.....and why they let it go in such a ruin ? ...war is stupid!!!! 😀😀😀
Perfect phrase Rose 👍
It's such a shame that so many old places are just left in ruins
Unfortunatly yes, it’s our heritage and we are not taking care until it’s too late
This place should be given priority to be restored, what a pity and disaster.Heritage Malta and other Ngo 's please note.
Most amazing place I ever visited , yes 100%
xhasra jmissa tigi restawrata.
100%
The money should go for these place to be restored not in people's pockets.
wise words ❤️🇲🇹
I cannot understand why it is left like this
Maybe cause there isn’t a place to make money 🤬
Hi can you send me the location please
It’s in Kalkara Dropped pin
goo.gl/maps/kQS964ANGzTSssNm8 take care as it isn’t the safest place to be
What a shame, this place is in this state today.awhere is Heritage Malta in this case.
After this video, it was also featured in the local news!
NGO's please note.
👍
That is Vittoriosa not Kalkara
I got all information from the Kalkara Local council, it’s even listed in their website.
@PierreFarrugia but that's Vittoriosa the gate to go out from the fortifications to Kalkara.
@bbiinngo I forgot now but there were people who said so
