I had a 1953 Chevy in high school, in 1964. It was a heap, salt had gotten to the body, it was a three speed manual, but, it got me to school,, cost me 100 bucks. I was probably one of four girls in High School to have a car.
P.s. my current Chevy is a 1996 Impala SS, garage queen, very low miles.I BOUGHT THAT BLACK beauty brand new, love it!
This song is an absolute banger. The best song He's released in at least 12 years, and stands up with his best. This is the first Crazy Horse song where I haven't missed Poncho.

Love this song! Classic Neil and the Horse. My Man is 77 yrs old and is still putting out the best damn riffs and hooks, melodies and lyrics! And his voice! It is as strong and clear as ever. Sounds exactly the same as it did in '67. And I frickin' LOVE the way his body moves when he's really in the song. I lurch forward and backward just like he does when I listen to him. At concerts, I do it in my seat, much to the dismay of the people around me unless they're into it too. I CANNOT just sit still through a Neil song. Especially when he's jammin' with the Horse. It would be impossible for me to sit still. He gets that left leg going, and rocking, and I'm rocking right with him. Sometimes I don't even know I'm doing it. My husband will just start laughing and say "you're gonna rock right off your chair in another minute!". It just comes naturally to me. I've been rocking out with Neil since I first saw him doing it on TV in the '60s. I was 12 then. I'm 68 now, and I love him even MORE!
This sounds so good still. Familiar yet completely fresh, taking unique guitar and jamming to a higher place. Thank you for this Neil and the Crazy Horses.

If there were such a thing as guitar abuse Neil is certainly guilty on this amazing track. This blows all the noise rock and other indie artists away. It is just a magnificent 17 minutes of beautiful noise. Majestic harmonies. Bravo Neil!

Nils Lofgren is an egoless musician. He is such a dynamic guitarist and yet is always happy to be the sideman second guitarist for guys like Neil Young and Springsteen, both of whom are excellent lead guitarists, but neither is probably as smooth or technically proficient as Nils.
And you can feel how much Nils absolutely loves all of it. He's a special musician. 🤟

Springsteen doesn't play lead, that's what he has Steven Van Zandt for. And Nils could play great lead guitar also. It's not about technique, its about feeling and soul. Neil could plug just about anyone into the rhythm guitar slot. Personally, I think Danny Whitten was Neils best second guitarist in any band he ever had.

Neil, you mean so much to me as a young person. I’m 27 as I write this and I know your music will stay with me forever. Gotta admit, I haven’t listened to anything after “Sleeps for Angels” (just too much great music out there and not enough goddang time) but I will listen to all your albums in the near future. I truly appreciate all your musical and lyrical contributions to the world. I really love the pure emotion that you put into your music, and as a musician myself I will continue to add that element wherever I am and whoever I am with. Thank you for your generosity and your…genuinity (if that’s a word). You still have time to burn out, but you will never fade away.

You know what Erik,I'm 68 and I've listened to music all my life and I remember thinking that when I was a young un of about my mid 20s,you cant always listen to everything you want to at that age cos sometimes life gets in the way and sometimes you listen to music to escape life,if you know what I mean,I didnt start to listen to Neil seriously till I was 48,I'd listened to him in passing but I was into other stuff back then,but since then hes the only thing musically that's made sense to me especially in these crazy times we all find ourselves in.Ive been lucky enough to see him 3 times in last 20 years and would love to see him soon cos we all aren't getting any younger.My favourite drink is red wine Merlot and that's what Neil is the older he gets hes like a good Merlot maturing,these Barn sessions are f#$kin awesome,just keep on Rocking In The Free World Neil,love you man,👍🇬🇧😎

We just heard this for the first time today driving in my Challenger. We love it! Neil Young with your friend from Grin and that other Band what’s its name, cannot remember, but you and Nils really blend into Sonic Youth. The song is great and the band is just outstanding! Love it. A world class, World Album.

The stage was attended by crew dressed as Jawas with hoods and lights for eyes .On stage large gift boxes lifted in to the air ,under the drums ,etc . long live rock and roll,and Neil Young

So glad Nils is back. He's a quintessential Crazy Horse alumnus, adding real heft to Neil's songs, which is saying something. I've loved him since his work on "After the Gold Rush," which is one of Neil's (and folk rock's) masterworks. A true craftsman, Nils work w/ Grin, Bruce Springsteen, and his 1975 eponymous debut album stand the test of time.
