I am looking into this device and saw this is an older video.. but maybe I can still get help. My tv is connected to my home stereo speakers using the optical audio out. But I am looking for a Bluetooth device that I can set up once and flip between receiver and transmitter mode. I would like to listen to my tv using my headphones and then at times I want to use my cell phone (or laptop) to listen to music on my receiver's speakers (without the tv on). Will this work on your device by flipping between RX and TX? Ty
The Audikast Plus is a bit simpler with fewer functions overall. On the flipside, its simplicity makes it easier to connect to Two Headphones at the same time. It's good if you're looking for something easy to use at a lower price point.
I've owned this for about three years. I was using it to send the sound from my non-BT old living room hi fi to Alexa speakers in a bedroom about 40 feet away. That worked but there was an audible delay between the wired speakers in my living room and the Alexa speaker in the bedroom. Anyway, I didn't use it much for several years but today I found a new use for it. I had an Echo Dot 3rd Gen connected to my living room hi-fi which I was using to stream Amazon Unimited Music to my hi-fi. That used to work well but about six months ago Amazon Music started stuttering. (If you Google it you'll see lots of people complaining about this and dropping their subscriptions because of it.) So I was looking for another way to stream music to my hi-fi besides the Dot. I tried a Wiim but it was still stuttering because the problem is with Amazon Music not the device. Also Wiim doesn't work with TH-cam Music which I also subscribe to. Then I remembered my Avantree Oasis! Hooked it up in Receiver mode, which I'd never even used before, and voila! I can now stream both Amazon Music or TH-cam Music to my hi-fi! Thank You! BUT HERE'S MY QUESTION: Given how old my Avantree Oasis is -- is there a better solution currently available in 2023 with higher quality audio?
On installing mine I found it was necessary to have the LG TV off while pairing the dual headphones for the first time. If the TV was on it kept trying to pair the TV with another device. It seems as if the headphones need to be paired first to avoid that issue. This TH-cam video was very helpful. THANKS!
Lost my sound. Have the system hooked up to my projector via optical cord to play sound on my sonos across the room. Not sure what happened. But no longer able to hear sound from projector out of sonos. But sonos still works on its own.
There can be multiple reasons why this is happening. Try factory resetting the Oasis Plus by pressing and holding the "+" and "-" buttons for about 7 seconds. Then, pair the Sonos with the Oasis Plus again. If you're still having trouble, email us at support@avantree.com

I have an old AV receiver in the closet that has 4 speakers connected to it. The speaker wires are ran through the walls in 2 different living rooms. Will this device allow me to connect TV, wireless speakers, and other electronics to it?
Yes. You can use the Oasis Plus's bypass mode to connect to your AV receiver, as well as it's bluetooth transmitter function to connect to any wireless speakers you have.
Is it possible to listen to two speakers at the same time when they're connected to AUX and Optical Audio Output? So i hve two different sound systems. One is connected via Optical and the ither via Aux. Does this work?
Should be working with Airpods. Two things to bear in mind though - 1) make sure our iPhone is Bluetooth off when using with the transmitter. Otherwise, Airpods might connect back to your phone and connection with Oasis will not be stable; 2) AirPods does not support aptX Low Latency so you might experience 150-200ms delay.
How’s the pass through feature? Is there any latency between optical pass through and Bluetooth audio transmission? I’m planning to use both in the same room, with the Bluetooth emitting to a receiver connected to speakers.

What is the actual tested range indoors and outdoors? I want to use in my kitchen which will be at the opposite side of the house on a different floor. Also I may want to use in the yard.
Hello, It may vary depending on the house, but we rarely get complaints indoors; my parents live in a 3000 sq ft ish house, never had issues with it. As for outdoors, since there'd be less obstacles theoretically, it should perform fine as well :) However, please note that the headphones you use also matters. Whether you can get audio at the same time depends on the TV, you'll need to check with your manufacturer. However, if you have a sound bar or AVR, we can guarantee that it'll have sound through both.
Hello Zouki, This particular model is 4.2. However, 4.2 shouldn't make too much of a difference with 5.0 under normal circumstances. If you're looking for a Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter, I'd recommend taking a look at our Audikast Plus (TC418P) or TC419 on our website :)
Hello, no, the transmitter can only handle 2 at once. However, our other product, HT280 can handle more than 10 at once... but it uses 2.4G technology so Bluetooth headphones are not compatible.
Hi out there, yesterday I have bought this great little device however, when I pair my 2 Fuse Bluetooth Headsets, they are paired and we can hear sounds from our TV but, if I want to pair a Sony Bluetooth Headset or any other brand of Headset Bluetooth, it seems that this last ones won't receive any sound (2nd Headset pairing). The sound will just hit the Fuse Bluetooth Headset but not the other headset. Now, how can I reset the device and start from scratch re-pairing the headsets? Or will it just work with the Fuse Headsets because those were the 2 headsets that I have been pairing for first when I started the device? Thank you in advance for any tip. Carus Alambra :-)

Hi this video shows you can connect an AV receiver using RCA out to 3.5mm TX Aux but on the cable you provide it says on the attached label "Not for ANY RCA ports on AV receiver" Which is correct as this is very misleading?
Hi Derek, For TV or other source, you could use the RCA output port. But for AV receiver, you can only use the PHONES jack as output. Refer to support.avantree.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001047783-Oasis-Guide-How-to-work-with-AV-receiver-in-TX
@@Avantree Thank you but I now have conflicting advice from your company. I also raised a support ticket at the same time as my question here. This is the response I received so may I suggest that this needs clarification and your staff briefed plus your documentation made clearer as your user instructions that come with the device should have a prominent warning about this. This is important if damage can occur if RCA ports are used.
MKT Support (Avantree Support Desk) Dec 20, 14:06 CST Hello Derek, Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for the confusion. What the sentence meant to say was that only certain RCA jacks can work - ones that are labeled "AUDIO OUT." I agree that it's very misleading, I'll go ahead and update it, thanks for the heads up. Also, alternatively, you can use the "PHONE" jack on the front side of the receiver, but you'll need a 6.35mm to 3.5mm converter to do so. Hope that helps. Thanks for choosing Avantree, happy holidays! Best, Avantree Support
Hi Derek, Yes, that sounds absolutely right. The 3.5mm RCA requires 6.5mm adapter to be connected on the front side of the receiver. Glad you got the info you need. I will solve this ticket for now. If you have any further questions or need support, feel free to send us an email to support@avantree.com
Hi Bobby! Your Bowers and Wilkins Px8 supports aptX as well as aptX-HD. These two codecs are very similar, but aptX-HD is supposed to have slightly better sound quality. The Oasis Plus transmitter prioritizes aptX-HD over aptX because of this, so there isn't really a way to choose aptX over aptX-HD, but aptX-HD will provide you with better sound anyways :)
Oasis plus will not work for calling. You could check our PC audio adapter like DG80 /C81. avantree.com/usb-bluetooth-audio-transmitter-for-pc-avantree-dg80 avantree.com/c81-bluetooth-adapter-for-pc

@@Avantree Oh, didnt expect an answer so quickly, thats cool :) First of all: Im pretty happy with the device, especially having HD mode is great. What I want is basically rly simple: I want to still hear my TVs sound on the soundsystem which is connected to the Oasis input (AUX) when Im connected with my Laptop (sending music to the Oasis in RX mode). Basically a "through" mode. Because at the moment I always have to get up from the couch to put the Oasis on "Off", to enable the sound of my TV coming through. Long story short, my dodgy old 15€ Bluetooth reciever was able to do that, so I kinda expected it in this advanced device :) but maybe you have an idea.
Apparently there is no way to connect an external blue tooth sound bar by connecting the Avantree RC500 to a TV that is not blue tooth capable. I have a 65" Hisense and bought the device to allow for a wireless blue tooth sound bar, but you have to connect the soundbar to the TV?

I get that this device does that, but here's the catch: The speakers don't have a volume knob. Will I be able to turn their speaker volume up or down with this?
If you're 100% sure that both devices were in pairing mode, try to take them to a different room and pair them there. It may have been caused by interference.
Hi Daniel, you can change your playback settings and there you can adjust the speed. Either hit the 3 dots, then playback settings and from there you can adjust how fast or slow you want the video to go. .50 means half speed. Or you can hit the gear symbol to change your playback settings to change the speed.

I Have a Bluetooth transmitter device which has been connected to a wired speaker, can the oasis plus connect in TX mode to that Bluetooth transmitter?
The Oasis Plus needs to be in RX mode to connect to your Bluetooth transmitter.
Is it possible to use existing high quality wired headphones with two of your Transmitter/Receiver devices?
Yes! We'd recommend going with AS70 and Oasis Plus, they both support aptX-HD, so you can keep listening to the HD qualitied sound :)
I want to connect to my TV and have sound to my Bose Bluetooth headset and TV at the same time. Will this unit do that?
Whether you can get audio at the same time depends on the TV, you'll need to check with your manufacturer.
However, if you have a sound bar or AVR, we can guarantee that it'll have sound through both.
Hi, thank's for the good video. I was wandering if the bluetooth technology is 4.2 or 5.0
Hello Zouki,
This particular model is 4.2. However, 4.2 shouldn't make too much of a difference with 5.0 under normal circumstances.
If you're looking for a Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter, I'd recommend taking a look at our Audikast Plus (TC418P) or TC419 on our website :)
Hello, just wonder if I can connect this to my PC, and have audio transmit from my PC to a headset.
Yes, you can. But perhaps our other product - DG60 or DG80 would be better choices? They use USB instead of AUX.
we connect more 10 headphones in same time wid transmitter?
Hello, no, the transmitter can only handle 2 at once.
However, our other product, HT280 can handle more than 10 at once... but it uses 2.4G technology so Bluetooth headphones are not compatible.
Just ordered this and the Aria Me headset. Looking forward to using them!
Feel free to let us know if you have any question :)
Can I chat with this device if my earbuds have a microphone, or is it only for audio?
No you cannot, it's only for listening.
If you want chat function, I'd recommend either DG60 or DG80 instead.
Maximum of how many devices connect?
This particular device can connect up to 2. But we have transmitters supporting unlimited headphones and speakers connection.
Is it work with Skyworth TV
Hi Yasitha, Yes this can work with Skyworth TV.
@@Avantree thank u
Hi out there,
yesterday I have bought this great little device however, when I pair my 2 Fuse Bluetooth Headsets, they are paired and we can hear sounds from our TV but, if I want to pair a Sony Bluetooth Headset or any other brand of Headset Bluetooth, it seems that this last ones won't receive any sound (2nd Headset pairing).

Is it possible by using this transmitter to transmit Bluetooth signal from TV to a Samsung soundbar via optical cable?
Hi Kim,
Yes it can. But perhaps the "bypass" function of this product will be more suitable for you?
The video guide for bypass: th-cam.com/video/8WLuuOqr9H4/w-d-xo.html
Hi this video shows you can connect an AV receiver using RCA out to 3.5mm TX Aux but on the cable you provide it says on the attached label "Not for ANY RCA ports on AV receiver" Which is correct as this is very misleading?
Hi Derek,
For TV or other source, you could use the RCA output port.

Hello Derek,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for the confusion.
Best,
Avantree Support
Hi Derek,
Yes, that sounds absolutely right. The 3.5mm RCA requires 6.5mm adapter to be connected on the front side of the receiver. Glad you got the info you need. I will solve this ticket for now. If you have any further questions or need support, feel free to send us an email to support@avantree.com
Hi where do i get this device? i am in South Africa
Hi Sicelo, unfortunately we don't ship to South Africa and we don't have authorized sellers there as well.
Just ordered this and it connects but shows HD and not AptX. I have AptX headphones: Bowers and Wilkins Px8. Using TX mode and HD priority. Any help?
@@Avantree Thank you. When "HD" lights up does that mean AptX HD?
@@BobbyTahir1 Yes, exactly :)
Can I use this with my Sony whxm4 so there is no audio delays when watching movies on tv?
Sony xm4 doesn't support low latency Bluetooth so there will be audio delays. We recommend using a headphone that supports aptX low latency with this.
@@Avantree Will this device work well with a sony KDL32BX310 tv? Thanks.
@@tigga2300 Yes, the device will work well with almost any TV!
If my computer doesn't have bluetooth can I still use this to connect my wireless earphone to my PC for conference calls?
Oasis plus will not work for calling. You could check our PC audio adapter like DG80 /C81. avantree.com/usb-bluetooth-audio-transmitter-for-pc-avantree-dg80 avantree.com/c81-bluetooth-adapter-for-pc
Does this device turn off automatically after some time ? I do not want to manually turn it on/off every time. My other transmitter (Sennheiser) goes into a stand by mode, when not connected.
If you use your TV as power source (via the USB cable included) it'll turn on/off with your TV
@@Avantree thanks, that is a feasible way for TV that have a USB. I just gave you a 5star rating at amazon because the Avantree oasis + is the only one that meets all my requirements: no latency, long range and great connection without any disturbing noises.
Hi, when i try to pair my avantree headset it doesnt work. I first put the oasis into paring mode and then the headset. I put them close together and wait. But nothing happens. A few minutes later the headphones will stop paring and the oasis. Please help me.
Hi, what headphones are you using? Next time try putting headphones into pairing mode first.
Too bad bypass doesnt work in RX mode... just wonder why... sending a signal through shouldnt be a big feature to implement
Can you tell us what you're trying to do? Maybe we have a different solution?
@@Avantree Oh, didnt expect an answer so quickly, thats cool :)
First of all: Im pretty happy with the device, especially having HD mode is great.
Hi Travis,
To further assist you please send an email to us at support@avantree.com
I’d like to know the answer to that too. I bought the Bose personal soundwear for the same reason, to be able to connect to a non-Bluetooth TV. Am I misunderstanding the intention of this transmitter?

@@Avantree No. I've been in contact with your customer support who suggested trying to pair the devices in a 'shielded environment' - a car. I tried that this morning and although my headphones said 'Connected' nothing happened with the Oasis box and it just switched from the blinking white/green flashing pairing light, to the white only blinking light. I've noticed in all of the review videos the Oasis boxes have a plastic peel over the display, where mine does not. Does it work with in ear totally wireless earbuds ??
Hello! Yes, it should. But please bear in mind that True wireless earbuds generally have a shorter range when used with a transmitter - something that's caused by the true wireless technology... but shouldn't be much of an issue.
Great video, but I still have an unanswered question before buying:
I want to listen to my TV with bluetooth headphones, while my family uses speakers to listen simultaneously. I get that this device does that, but here's the catch:
The speakers don't have a volume knob. Will I be able to turn their speaker volume up or down with this?
If you're using optical, you can't. If you're using RCA or 3.5mm, you can adjust using your TV remote.
What about telling people what it is. its 2020 and they didn't bother to use voice to communicate for sales
1) It's in the title, it's a Bluetooth Transmitter + Receiver. 2) We do have many other videos that has voice over.
I just recently got this device and unable to pair with my Samsung Level device.
If you're 100% sure that both devices were in pairing mode, try to take them to a different room and pair them there. It may have been caused by interference.
Voice prompting disappeared on me. Thanks to this video, was able to get her voice back by holding the aux button for 7 seconds.

Pause and read then!!🤔
Hi Daniel, you can change your playback settings and there you can adjust the speed. Either hit the 3 dots, then playback settings and from there you can adjust how fast or slow you want the video to go. .50 means half speed. Or you can hit the gear symbol to change your playback settings to change the speed.
Useless video. May as well flip through the booklet. Does not explain the flipping of many switches and what they actually do. Just shows you, "Look. A switch." For instance, what is RX mode? RX where I come from has to do with medicine and I doubt it is that. So what is it for? Now I will go find a different video.
Thanks for the feedback. For this video we sacrificed comprehensivity for brevity. For reference, RX refers to "receiver" and TX refers to "transmitter".
