  • An excellent morning spent at the beautiful location of Colton Junction on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from London Northeastern Railway, Cross Country, Transpennine Express, Northern, Grand Central and freight from Freightliner, DB Cargo UK and GBRF.
    This was my second time here and I have to say it was significantly more enjoyable just because the weather was so much more on my side and the amount of trains I was catching was just incredible.
    My next film is from Acton Bridge on the West Coast Mainline.

    Brilliant video Jarred Web. I like Colton Junction, there's two tracks where trains operate. The line on the left towards Leeds and the line on the right is towards Doncaster (one of the best station) but sadly no CrossCountry services towards Reading or Southampton Central via Doncaster but luckily, you got Grand Central are running which is good to see and two TPE class 68s. 68033 sounding better than 68032.

    The only way the freight operators, other than DRS, can go electric is if they go for the bi-mode 88 and DRS haven't got that many themselves. Top video, top location. Stay safe, regards Gary.

      If you look at the bridge on google maps from where I was filming you might be able to make out a small public footpath that runs along the edge of the field leading into the village of Colton, that's how I got there. Whats the difference between 800/801

    • @russouk
      @russouk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      801 has slightly more power and is basically for more demanding lines like to scotland...as its a denanding line and rises and falls in gradients etc..
