I'm a retired 911 Fire Dispatcher so I understand the trauma that builds inside the body and mind, taking call after call. Like he said, it's different today. Even dispatchers are immediately sent to a de-briefing to help with the mental trauma after being involved in a heavy call. This was a very needed conversation. Thank you Egypt and Mike!
Great Podcast! Married 15 years, no kids, separated 2 1/2 yrs. We’re still best of friends he’s always been here for me. There’s hope. 🙏🏽🙏🏽Thank you guys…Love it! I❤😂
THANK FOR YOUR SERVICE GARY!!! As an Army veteran who was deployed I definitely understand how what we experience becomes who you are. Not been able to comprehend what you're mentally going through is tough on not only you but your loved ones as well. I appreciate the realness and vulnerability. This was the best interview so far!
This was a GREAT interview!!!!!! Loved the transparency and real grown ass conversation. Kudos to Mike & Egypt for recognizing the value of the experience & wisdom Sharrarne & Gary had to share.
I finally caught another live but after this I'm going to sleep lol. Them not being public figures made this episode even better and I laughed so hard 😂😊❤
My favorite thus far! Wholesome and transparency at its best. Beautiful and great couple and story. Egypt and Mike asked the right questions too😅🏃♀️💨😂! Keep up the great work.
I heard someone say you plan for the wedding & not for the long haul of the marriage. I love their honesty about what happened in their marriage & I’m glad you’ll discover each other again.
Really love this episode! I am 2 months away from my 2 year wedding anniversary. And this helped me out being still in the “honey moon phase”. I love counseling. And this gives me a lot to keep an open mind to. That growing apart as you change is really what stuck out to me. And I want me and my husband to grow together! Thank u for being so open and transparent. These are the convos ppl shy away from. But newlyweds need to hear it
Egypt & Mike my husband and I truly enjoy this podcast I’ve told several friends about it. We enjoyed hearing this story it reminded us of ourselves a lot Thank y’all for sharing
This podcast was one oh the best you've done! The honesty, transparency and love was palpable!!! Its clear that Sharyn and Gary were meant for each other. This podcast is a true celebration and inside view to Black Love ❤🎉😊
It's very sad that they separated while he was taking care of his mother alone😔 Gary seems like a very kind introvert. His wife compliments him well being an extrovert, confident and brutally honest 😊
What beautiful spirits you all are. Delightful couple the Morton's are (as are Egypt & Mike). I love how they let each other speak as well. Thanks for keepin' it real. We're all human after all. If we're fortunate, we ALL need a little Ben Gay occasionally as we age. Health issues come up, life comes up, what a great story of working together for a common goal. Thank you for all the honesty.
Love you two and everyone you have had has been amazing. This one here was the best. They were open and honest and so truthful. You cannot take real love in a real relationship. Thank you for doing this and much success.
omg, I thoroughly enjoyed this convo, and the chandelier became a lamp....lol Egypt u ask great questions that others may shy away from...I look forward to this
Just found your channel and I love it so far😅 The rawness, organic conversations, Bengay😂 A lot of couples in their fifties will admit that Keep up the good work
This was a great conversation. I think this was the funniest episode, yet. For sure! They were hilarious. Lots of great topics discussed. But for sure, the children do put a lot of stress on a woman.
6:55 She's gorgeous! 57 years old where at? 28:59 Egypt that's a lot to ask a Spouse, she's right to be honest about how much she can consumed. She's his Wife she's not a professional Therapist. I loved Mike during the BJ talk, he was so professional and took the conversation very seriously while Egypt was falling out!
LOL Egypt had the look of, "WHAT is happening HERE?!?!!?!" Great discussion among mature adults about real life - the things that actually DO happen but are rarely talked about.
Listening to your significant other is vitally important. Being the primary/solely caregiver for your children is exhausting. Lastly, being on the same level sexually should be automatic. No one wants to have to drag it out you. Keeping it slim and sexy is where its at on a daily basis. I’m in total agreement with Mrs. Morton. On a side note I think when Mr. Morton accepted the separation, he walked into another level of confidence. Which, is extremely attractive. Additionally, I think the sexy texting is what’s up. Another great podcast.
@Egypt Sherrod Thank you so much for responding..tell Mike to stop interrupting ...that point was super important! Lol...your podcast is great..keep up the great work!!
😮@ 43:35 🔔@ 43:43 - 45:03 Earlier highlights: I don't feel he will ever be completely healed (major trauma)🙏🏾 @ 22:50 - 23:25 @ 24:15 his voice always lowers when he mentions it😔 even though he later reveals some relatives helped him take care of his mother💔 @ 25:10 @ 35:00 -35:40 @ 35:42 - 35:50😅😂 I thought the same thing fluffy?😒 Not a compliment for a man
Gary wasn't complimenting her and he was depressed then his mom fell ill. She wasn't feeling appreciated. Gary lived in the basement for a year. Thereafter she was dating. One day Gary left North Carolina to spend time with their 2 daughters and when she saw him wearing a nice suit and smelling good she decided to give their marriage another try only if Gary was receptive to going to counseling.
I love these podcasts for all the realness. I've been married 16 years and it is encouraging to see how others work through situations.
I'm glad GOD brought this couple back together Happy Happy ❤
Need a full episode of Egypt breaking down retirement, investing, etc.
I love it when Mike push thru and say, "naw I'm asking this question". Good job Mike!

This was the most enjoyable podcast yet because of this realistic and hilariously honest mature couple. They shared so much to grow on. Love them😅😍

I love how Mike makes sure y'all are covered legally before you share your gems. He's making sure he protects the bag 😂

I really wanted her to give her Husband a Hug.. He loves his wife. He does not seem selfish.
It's very sad that they separated while he was taking care of his mother alone😔 Gary seems like a very kind introvert. His wife compliments him well being an extrovert, confident and brutally honest 😊
Amazingly honest conversation! Thank you truly enjoyed 💟

I watched this episode. Why didn't they file for divorce during those 8 years of separation?
Gary wasn't complimenting her and he was depressed then his mom fell ill. She wasn't feeling appreciated. Gary lived in the basement for a year. Thereafter she was dating. One day Gary left North Carolina to spend time with their 2 daughters and when she saw him wearing a nice suit and smelling good she decided to give their marriage another try only if Gary was receptive to going to counseling.
More of your opinions minus the guest! PLEASE!!!
Um, did she say 58?????????????????????
The Real Deal 👍
Know your patlrtner's love language
I think that counseling is still hard for men and women but mostly men of all races
