I will never understand why this isn’t so much more popular. Almost 800 lbft of torque under 5k rpm? This thing is a complete monster, and because of the low revs it will last forever. Who wouldn’t want a race engine you don’t have to rebuild every 50k miles? And nothing beats that’s 500+ cubes idle sound. Literally sounds like a 2,000 pound lion roaring!

I’m a 2 stroke addict. When I had a 69 472 I filled it and ran premix with pennzoil semi synthetic TCW3 and I could not not kill it. I ran 60:1 and filled crank with the TCW3. I Just got bored one day and tried it no problems so far
X2! What sort of HP and at what RPMs? The raised runner intake looks mean as hell. Thinking about running a Ford pattern tunnel ram with the adapter plates myself. Sick build, we need more hot rod 500's!
Not much hp as it is a 4 stroke junk with no roller bearings, but thats true with all cars. But there are aluminum block with can be made into a 2 stroke with ports cut into them.

850 hp 6500 rpm.. Cadco has a 584 on the dyno now that's making over 902hp with the low rise bulldog intake.. more to come looking for 950 N.A

10 to 1 with smaller cam 526 made 800 hp at 5900 and 760 ft lbs at 4800

Biggest drawback to this style of Cadillac engine is the tiny camshaft journal diameter. What's the lobe height that you used to get your .740 lift?
Id put this engine in my '76 Camaro
That would run good 1/4 mile in a light chassis like a '75 or so Seville. Or a mid 80's Eldorado or mid 90's Eldorado.
