When I got my Mercedes, I was very paranoid of theft or vandalism. 12 years later and nothing. Its not even interesting anymore. Its just another used Merc.
I have this,..but I am really dissapointed in that once the theif shifts outta park, it defaults into NEUTRAL...thus if its on any kind of incline, it will start rolling. If the theif jumps out, it rolls recklessly down an incline with no one inside. This is in Canada.
Wrong, it's dependent on the car make and model and the installer as to whether the ignition or gearbox is immobilised. Mine works just as in the video .
Understand why people would like this, I want one myself but a lot of people told me they are easy to bypass, very hesitant about it anyone know if they are actually worth it?
Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm gonna ask , but most of these videos about the Ghost Alarm seem to be using automatic vehicles so as soon as its put in to D (Drive) it cuts out how does this system work with manual (stickshift) vehicles when does the vehicle cut out ,as you depress the clutch or as its put in to gear via the gearstick?
Every car should have a pin to start it, manufactures should be installing them as standard. So easy to stop the problem.
Only problem is they need to implement a way to change it if you sell it

Where is the immobilizer made??
What happened if you forgot your combination?? Is there an overwrite password?
Yes it comes with a scratch card kinda thing and you scratch the code
That Crimewatch presenter is such a clown. Pure cringe
hi, can you transfer the immobilizer to another car? when selling.
Yes you can remove the immobiliser and fit it to another vehicle
Depends on the vehicle .. and what ghost you have .. it may need reflashing the chip
Prob cost as much to get removed and refitted to new car

Even if the thief uses the OBD port, he can't start ?
No
I think this is a older model, the newer one won’t even let you start the car

Mine works where the car cannot even start without my code button.

With manual vehicles, I believe it doesn’t let the vehicle start at all, unless the pin is entered in.
@@Mk7adxm Thanks for an answer 👍
I have one on a manual car. You can start the car but it cuts out when you move into gear.
has anyone ever guessed the unlock code and re-programmed it?
I'm sure someone out there has yes, but very rare. I'm not sure if you get unlimited attempts or it shuts down after a certain amount of wrong ones
He should have driven off, he looks like a car thief!
