GMK is one of my favorite movies. It is equally first with Godzilla minus one and my favorite Godzilla list. This Godzilla movie is one of my favorites from the millennium and one of my favorites for a long time because of how they betrayed Godzilla and Mothra, Baragon and King Ghidorah I absolutely adore that Godzilla movie so much and give the people who made it a lot of credit to both Godzilla minus one and Godzilla GMK 2001. I just wanted to say Godzilla fight scenes with King Ghidorah when they let out of the prison that he was in captain in the movie, his eyes were white around the edges, but he did have red irises and his eyes that figure that you are reviewing in the video up above is actually very accurate. The original eyes were not intended to be all red the only time that you’ll see mostly red is when the eyes are turned More straight, then turned towards facing the front of the nose when the eyes are crooked it looks more red, but when the eyes are looking straight like he’s looking at Godzilla or another creature and not walk eyed to decide, his eyes are perfectly seen with white and the red iris, and a lot of close-ups, you will notice there are white and red Coloring in his eyes, but the figure is very accurate. The Godzilla figures would read or just a cheap way of making a quick buck out of these figures. I think that Godzilla figure of King Ghidorah but I think the reason that people think he has all red eyes also could be because of the lighting in the movie delighting is very red and some places to imitate fire and the glare of the eyes because they’re probably glass or a kind of PVC that is very shiny you would not notice that they are white because of the lights glaring onto it because in one scene I saw a little bit of a coloration that looked more orange and one scene that looked like it was glaring off of the eyes. I think that most scenes that you see in the movie, also are in a certain place that they want you to see a certain way that you cannot tell that the white are in the eyes because of the way the camera is facing. I think that is the issue with the whether they have red eyes with no white or red irises with white inside the eyes, but 90% of the original pictures of the cost, and the close-ups in the movie of the face show that there is white and his eyes, but you would have to look very very carefully to actually notice a little bit of white, especially in the CGI takeoff scene when King Ghidorah first opens his wings and starts flying with the power up that he gains, and that part of the movie from Mothra, there is another instance when the two main characters fall in the water and king Adora lets out a big air pocket when he opens his eyes from getting knocked out by the DT missile. His eyes are clearly red in the irises and white around. you just have to look closely and you’ll notice that figure is very very movie accurate to the actual original puppet and costume later on they depicted a lot of figures with all red eyes that is not very accurate. That is just a way that I think they want to make a cheap buck, and they just put it all red for no reason but they didn’t make it very accurate by doing that so if you want to see which ones fairly accurate, I would say a revisit the movie like I am about to do and see which figures are more accurate than other figures with the eyes most likely this figure is the most accurate out of all of them so I just wanted to say that as a big fan of Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah i’ve been watching this movie for a very long time revisiting it every month of my life since it came out in 2001 I was very young when I started watching this movie and I cherish it so much and I am about to revisit again tonight, but I think as a expert on this movie, I think I’m pretty certain and correct about the eyes being that way, but revisit the movie and then make your assumption that way with these figures I want put all your eggs in a basket until you actually revisit the movie and do your research because I am a big Godzilla fan. I’ve been studying him since I was three years old and every movie Godzilla I actually own, I watched all of them them, but I noticed in this GMK Godzilla Mothra, King Ghidorah I do notice that most of the scenes are very dark where you cannot even see King Ghidorah eyes because emotions they want it to look like he’s in a cave, but most of the scenes depicting the costume and a lighter area. Thank god Bandai got their head out their rears and started reissuing their standard sculpts. This, Final Goji, and Godzilla 2002 were 20 to 19 years overdue. GMK especially, one of the better sculpts they did.
I feel ya man. While Toho have made strides in the last few years, it’s a bummer some territories are still getting a bum wrap with distribution. Hopefully it further improves in the coming years.
I... oddly enough, want a {Wasp} Mothra in my collection (even If her shadow on the wall ends up scaring me on occasion. Definitely want it to be that translucent one for sure. MMM Mothra on the other hand, depends really. She has to look good otherwise, I'm going with Hiya.
