Great review , just to let you know that the screw driver has a Phillips and a regular slotted screw driver also. A lot of people don't know it's a combination screw driver. have fun ,just bought one for $599.00 from the company that sells them. also free shipping and $10.00 more they also sell the magnetic oil drain plug.
Based upon the good reviews, i purchased this generator direct from WEN located in Illinois (USA). The generator arrived promptly within only a few short days after I placed my order. I did the typical pre-startup requirements such as adding the oil, filling the tank with gasoline and connecting the battery cables. Unfortunately, however the electric start does not work. I started it up using the rope pull. It runs great I'm disappointed that the electric start does not work. Shipping it back to WEN for repair would be a nightmare. Lesson learned: Buy locally from a dealer who would make all necessary repairs. Some things are best not to be purchased from On-Line
Sorry to hear about the electric start issue. I’m sure Wen would take care of the repair for you but I understand the pain of shipping it back. Hopefully it’s as simple as a loose connection.
Good good news! I opened the side panel and I discovered that the battery cables were not connected to the wiring harness. So, I connected the wires quick connect to the battery cables wiring harness and it started right up. It’s unfortunate that the technician at the WEN factory missed this and the customer (me) had to investigate this to locate the problem. So, all is well now!
That sure sounds like the Honda 3000 inverter generator. I’m thinking they cloned it. If so this is probably going to ge the best cheap generator out there.
I'm not sure if it's a clone, but I can tell you it's quite and reliable. I like Honda reliability, but at this price point, I can't see why anyone would purchase the Honda. Thanks for watching!

Yes it does.
My battery came fully charged at 13.3 VDC but what good will that do since the electric start switch is inoperable?

Can you get this with remote start?
I did a quick search and didn’t see that option for the Wen. There may be a kit out there that would work with it.
