I bought the Roth Allen and it look just like yours. I went bought another one for $224. Simply shade must be getting it from the same manufacturer in China
Lowe's no longer sells the simply shade product. They now sell an inferior Allen and Roth product that they make an additional $8 on. Simply Shade doesn't have a phone number and if you ever need to do any repair you're screwed. We purchased the simply shade model about 5 years ago and mounted it directly to a steel plate attached to an Ipe deck. It held up under some high winds until a few evenings ago when a sixty mph gust tore one seam in the canopy. Would love to find a replacement canopy, but unsuccessful so far.
I like your review except for I believe you failed to mention the Hampton Bay from Home Depot is literally half the price and the pole feels heavier duty. I went to purchase this model but wanted to compare in person and I ended up with the Hampton Bay. The Base on the Hampton Bay isn’t too bad. I liked the base on the Lowe’s better but for half the price I’m diggin it.
The Home Depot version is locked into one position...you have to place it in the way you want and can't move it unless you move the whole thing, there is no built in rotation device.
So far no it hasn't.. The parts are painted, but will get scratches if you drag the whole thing, which will take the paint off and may cause rust down the line.. But so far so good
Thank you so much! I just did my new patio floor and it’s Coral light beige . So I’m scared with time it does :/ I guess I’ll go with the table umbrella with plastic base . Thank u thank u! I really wanted this one but rather not take chances
Thank you for taking the time to explain the difference. Big help!
The most informative video I have seen on this subject, I'm planing to buy something like that (10'x10' square) Thank you.
Awesome, thank you and thanks for watching.
Thank you so much ! Very helpful information 👍👍👍
Thanks for your video! I' still deciding what to buy. I'm basically trying to find a big umbrella that can shield my patio door from the sun. :)

How do you think these pair up with Purple Leaf? I live on farmland and its always breezy.
Does this umbrella close and tie up like a regular umbrella does? I’m wondering what you do if strong winds are forecasted. Thanks
Yes it has a tie on it.

Good video I bought Lowes 👍
Nice but how does the umbrella fold
I bought the 11ft. simply shade and after 14 months the cranking rope broke, and I replaced it. It also broke in less time. $450. and now $229.
We’ve had ours for like 3 years. Albeit using it only in the summer months since we live up north. Try being more gentle when cranking.
Thanks for this video.
Does the Home Depot version rotate or you just can't stand on it to rotate it, please clarify thank you.

@@NailedorFailedReviews Incorrect. I have Hampton Bay and you can rotate the umbrella.
Yes, the Hampton Bey DOES rotate 360. The video reveiw is incorrect in this point.
Very helpful!
Does it rust on the bottom ?
