Have you noticed that some Ps5 games look quite dark? Even when hdr ? It’s not a huge deal for me but some games just look dark. I noticed also that the factory setting for gamma was 4.2 and this also made even tv , movies quite dark. I changed to 2.2 and it’s much better. Although on game mode on PS5 I can’t change it. @@grahamkelly8662 games sure look a little different, but the true blacks of an oled hdr are amazing compared to any led panel, they may look darker because you have to set the hdr right from inside the ps5 settings too, there are many settings to fiddle with and I'd recommend you to watch HDTVTest video about lg c1 optimal settings for ps5 gaming, there is a specific hdr calibration option on the ps5 that has to be done right or it kinda screws up the hdr. As for the yellow tone I'm guessing the moviemaker automatically sets the color temperature to max warmth for some reason, I havent tried moviemaker mode yet as I almost exclusively play and didn't watch any movies on it yet so I can't tell for sure, but according to the guy in the video I mentioned, who is some sort of TV genius, max warmth is the most accurate color temperature used in the film and gaming industry for some reason, but honestly that comes down to preference, personally I just can't stand it so maybe put the tv into moviemaker mode and then just bring the color temperature back to 0, otherwise if you are watching movies on the PS5 itself I think the game optimiser hdr settings + ps5 hdr specific settings are just fine
@@grahamkelly8662 also on ps5 it's best to keep hdr turned on only for games that support it, there's an option called "HDR-on when supported" that if turned off makes the console to force hdr even for sdr games, though it makes them look too bright and kinda off, basically it distorts the image the developers intended for that game, if you turn that option on you can set specific settings for both sdr and hdr games on the tv, which automatically switches up between sdr and hdr by just booting up different games
@@deibu__ is the HDTVTest person a kinda Chinese looking guy? If so, I think I know who you’re talking about and I’ve seen a few of his Ps5 hdr videos. I copied 1 where when you have the white square, Ps5 says make it so you can barely see the symbol inside but the TVTest guy says to go 1 press further. Still a bit off for me. Like the open world is hill dull but Spider-Man’s suit is always super bright and I find that in smaller mission areas, it’s much more vivid bright, reflective and shiny but 1 main problem that isn’t a huge deal and I think it may be called black crush. Basically, most times I’m walking around street, which isn’t much, mainly when finishing missions or fighting crime, it’s rather sunny but most pedestrians have most of face and body really really dark like exaggerated shadow and can’t see no detail on them. White people even look black lol. Nothing else has this effect. Even when in lower lit room. I did mess with settings but only thing to improve , would be to generally add brightness. Go in game optimiser mess with the black levels , game settings. Only problem is that this now leaves image washed out and horrible looking. So I’d rather have the black crush, in places. Seems to me like this hdr isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and is often implemented in games, badly. Seems that’s always making game too dark or too washed out. I do worry about this stuff a bit and the funny thing is, it really don’t bother me, that much. Maybe as I’m not a HUGE gamer , anymore. Like, I don’t need everything to be perfect but at same time, it niggles away at me that I could maybe get a MUCH better picture. For instance, if I was playing a game in 4K went to toilet, while I was gone, someone switched it to 1080p mode, I probably wouldn’t even notice. Same as even if a game isn’t very graphically impressive, if it’s a great game, I can still fully enjoy and while I’m really enjoying, I never think about the not so great graphics. 1 thing that is a must to me, is 60fps minimum. For me, after playing 60 and going back to 25/30 it was horrendous and I can not enjoy a movement based game in 30fps it’s so not smooth , hurts eyes , just walking around in 30fps is nasty. Im even worried about playing games in 120 FPS because I fear that if I play enough of them, even 60fps with not have smooth nice motion but that janky 28fps crap. And of course, most games are not in 120. So to get used to it in a few games then 90% of others is only 60fps may feel terribly bad. Been looking up to buy this TV since release date. I've heard it's been upgraded with the Evo panel like this year's models. Much better than release stock. Hope I get a chance before the year ends.
I bought a LG c1 48 inch few weeks ago. Listing said 2021 model but on back of tv it says it was made around March of 2022. Just a few months before I bought it. Does this mean I have or may have updated evo panel?
@@richardrodriguez9903 what size do you plan on getting? I’d love a 77inch but I just can’t justify the HUGE cost. I paid £850 for 48c1 and 77 is about £2400. I’m happy I made right choice. So much that I could buy with the £1600 odd difference.
Bro, I’m 30 seconds in and I have 1 important question. In 30 seconds i see this demo type vid on your screen. Incredible bright colour and incredible clear deep black. Should black always look this good, in general in LG C1 ? I got today not set up but worried as my Samsung Q7OT 55 for £1000 was hideous. Can’t display deep black and no I don’t mean it’s dull or greyish . I’m talking it should be night sky black but I have nasty distorted blue and purple like moving puddles of blobby inky mess over the whole screen. Sale if in darkish room, mans blue jacket turns a blurry blue/purple distorted effect . This is on regular low quality analog tv. All 1080p or 4K streaming TH-cam Netflix Amazon etc and even happens on PS4/5 via hdmi. I tried playing resident evil biohazard and it’s really dark and I get similar issues but it’s worsen. Like same as what I described but more like it’s pixelated like 144p. So wish me luck with my C1. I actually am using a new family member tv, just til I set up C1. I think it’s cls or something. Cheap 4K hdr etc cost £300 and guess what? I don’t have these nasty hideous distorted problems. Night time looks dark and I tried resident evil biohazard, I’m in same scene at start when you put in videotape and your outside the haunted house at night and on this cheap £300 it’s just dark perfect no problem and the previous Samsung Q7OT for £1000 was a mess. I dunno if it’s a fault that Samsung let slide or if mine was just genuinely faulty.
Well, OLEDs can produce real blacks simply because they can turn off individual pixels instead of traditional edge lit screens where the panel is always lit.
Hey man I got a question it only does it on a ps5 game, when I play a ps4 game it doesn’t do that. It goes black for sec and then it comes back on and it says HDR on the top right is that normal
Just recently picked up the 65" for just a hair under 1300, before taxes. Super happy with it so far 👍 Out of the box, the thing you really need to do is turn down contrast, turn off Eco mode, and turn up pixel brightness (depending on which mode you're in, I guess)
The main one is the eco mode or energy saving mode whatever it’s called hdtv test even put out a video on it. One of the biggest reasons people say they have brightness issues is because that’s enabled. So it automatically dims the tv.
My OCD is keeping me from enjoying this video. Knowing you had that much extra space on the wall yet the tv is somehow hanging over your window just a little

Charity Jesus. Charity is love that gives it always believes and hopes. James 3:16 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." Evil is to be uncaring and destructive in your relationship to others for selfish gain, or to be internally selfishly weak. Matthew 4:17 "For at about that time Jesus began to preach repent the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Repent: to change your mind, to believe Jesus: (Yeshua, The Anointed King) and what he said, to ask for forgiveness. Note: When someone asks for forgiveness at each point in the past you'd done something wrong you wish you had done the right thing. God wanted to know who thought being a good person is important, and who will value a relationship with him and others through a concept called love; thereby, being a good tree whose fruit is good and of sweet savour to those in it's presence. Be Born Again John 3 Seek the Lord while he may be found, be diligent in doing and pray for wisdom. 1 Kings 3:5-12, Hebrews 11:1 + 6, Isaiah 55:6 For Jesus is the way to truth to life. I believe the Holy Bible, The King James Version is the most accurate modern English translation.

Always keep your remote close by because is you walk into a dark room you'll have to increase the brightness, then when you walk out into daylight again you'll have to decrease the brightness because everything is washed out. Try ghost of tsushima on this tv then compare it to how it looks on a lcd. Unfortunately looks so much better on lcd

I bought the C1 48 inches for around 900 USD. I use as a PC Monitor and cant be more happy with it.
How far do you sit from it?
@@CoolGuy-rk7tc 38-39 inches and I have it mounted to the wall.
Still worth it in 2022? Hell yeah it is. Proud owner here of a C1 and wouldn't part with it for no tv.
Been looking up to buy this TV since release date. I've heard it's been upgraded with the Evo panel like this year's models. Much better than release stock. Hope I get a chance before the year ends.
first time I hear this now I feel like I gotta pull the trigger
I bought a LG c1 48 inch few weeks ago. Listing said 2021 model but on back of tv it says it was made around March of 2022. Just a few months before I bought it. Does this mean I have or may have updated evo panel?
@@grahamkelly8662 this video explains if you have an Evo panel with the c1. Watch it complete. th-cam.com/video/u8mHS5eM57I/w-d-xo.html
@@richardrodriguez9903 I just checked and I have a W so I guess I have new panel. Not really bothered either way as there isn’t a huge difference.
@@richardrodriguez9903 what size do you plan on getting? I’d love a 77inch but I just can’t justify the HUGE cost. I paid £850 for 48c1 and 77 is about £2400. I’m happy I made right choice. So much that I could buy with the £1600 odd difference.
Excellent video. Also like the room setup. Giving me awesome ideas
Does original PS5 HDMI2.1 cable work fine with this TV or you have better options for me?
Salut and Regards from the Serbia...
I bought this tv yesterday, sooo good , i am very happy so far!
I think it’s more worth it now since it’s a lot cheaper than a year ago.
Just picked one up ..... 🙂 .... but how do you get that awsome screensaver like you have at the 2 minute mark ? TX
Yes I’m about to purchase the 83inch on sale now for 4k amazing deal
Are you kidding with this title… ? This TV is worth until 5-8 years no problem !
Wat chair is that ?? I'm really interested in it
For me it's anoying how blue it looks in the store. Is there an easy way of fixing it? It's now on huge sale and one contender with the samsung s95b
That's a very awkward place for a TV. Do you play and watch it standing up in front of it?
Incredible Oled TV set
Your TV positioning looks awkwardly of place mounted next to your window.
What do you mean is it still worth it in 2022 ? Its 2021 brand new tv its not toilet paper...
It’s a good tv for the price especially if you don’t have the money for a better tv, or if you wanna save money for something else too
Nice setup. I copped a 48 C1 for my gaming setup. I got a 55 C9 in my bedroom.
What do you use to get that color splash screen saver? Is it an app?
What size is this?
What’s your settings for ps5? I can’t get my games to look that good
If u can still find the cx get that. Its roughly a c1 but cheaper
Waiting for a black friday sale which works out great cause I'm moving in a new home in december.
Definitely still worth it till 2023 24 when they get either ink jet printed tec or phosphorus blue oled aka pholed
Hell yes it is, I love mine, and to be honest don’t like bright tvs this is just perfect
Hey man I got a question it only does it on a ps5 game, when I play a ps4 game it doesn’t do that. It goes black for sec and then it comes back on and it says HDR on the top right is that normal
Is the 55 inch tv too big for gaming with the pS5? I’m used to Big TV’s but I’ve been hearing something about lagging with a bigger screen?
Get the 77 inch
Which model picture quality is better lg c1 ptz or lg c1 xtz
LG G1
Watching the mandolorian has been great!
I bought the LG OLED C1 48" in the Spanish LG Store for 780€.
perfect review
Just recently picked up the 65" for just a hair under 1300, before taxes. Super happy with it so far 👍
Out of the box, the thing you really need to do is turn down contrast, turn off Eco mode, and turn up pixel brightness (depending on which mode you're in, I guess)
The main one is the eco mode or energy saving mode whatever it’s called hdtv test even put out a video on it. One of the biggest reasons people say they have brightness issues is because that’s enabled. So it automatically dims the tv.
They need a 65" curved oled common sony and add more than 1 2.1 hdmi input ports seperate from earc. Got 3 a90j's already gimmie that curved oled!
Hey
You definitely need a referral link. Because I just made an order base on your video :D
is this 55 or 65 ?
不明白老美为啥喜欢把电视机放那么高 看着不累么
Hi
I have c1 55" can you write your pictures settings
Thanks
Does the TV come with a 5-year guarantee
1 year from LG in U.S. Not sure where you are.
"C1 in 2022" ? How old is this tv? 2010/12?
Anyone else triggered by the super offset location that he has put it on the wall?
Yep
Got it for 800 shipped so yes
My OCD is keeping me from enjoying this video.
Knowing you had that much extra space on the wall yet the tv is somehow hanging over your window just a little
Just subscribed and liked.

Thanks for the review. As a viewer of countless reviews, you need to cut way down on utilization of qualifying words like actually, pretty, and fine. It either is amazing or it isn’t. It either looks like it’s off or it doesn’t. The response time isn’t actually really fast. It’s just fast. Once you cut down on the qualifiers, next consider including a general baseline to give viewers context when using adjectives like excellent. Example: For tv’s priced in x-y range. And for all the haters out there…. I’m simply trying to help my man out with some constructive feedback while I take my morning poo.

Get yourself a 8K Neo QLED Samsung TV it's worth it for your next Gen Consoles and 4K movies, it look a whole lot better then a 4K tv because your pictures get more sharper and the colors look more deeper
Oh wait wait wait. What Color is your PS5? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
He has black customizable plates on it..
I am getting ready to buy one fory PS5!
you can stay with this tv 5 more years!
Really considering getting it but the thinness and stutter in movies is really making me second guess.
Lmao, don't know who you've been listening to, I have the C1, and A90J, and my C1 handles motion like a champ, actually has better motion than my Sony, also my C1 was my go to first for gaming until I picked up the Samsung S95B...
I bought C1 48 last week and there is no stutter in movies. The picture quality is mindblowing

Charity Jesus. Charity is love that gives it always believes and hopes.
James 3:16 "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."
Evil is to be uncaring and destructive in your relationship to others for selfish gain, or to be internally selfishly weak.
Matthew 4:17 "For at about that time Jesus began to preach repent the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."
Repent: to change your mind, to believe Jesus: (Yeshua, The Anointed King) and what he said, to ask for forgiveness.
Be Born Again John 3
Seek the Lord while he may be found, be diligent in doing and pray for wisdom. 1 Kings 3:5-12, Hebrews 11:1 + 6, Isaiah 55:6
For Jesus is the way to truth to life.
I believe the Holy Bible, The King James Version is the most accurate modern English translation.

Will NEVER BUY LG again!!!
In 2015 i bought a LG 65UF8509 for 3000 euro. Some days ago i just turned on the TV without have moved the TV and i got a purple thin vertical line that does not dissappear anymore. Always i watch and the background is dark i can see that line.
The TV did some software updates and i can b sure that the company has injected a code to break my expensive TV.
NOW I KNOW - NO LG WILL EVER BUY.
Same thing happened to a Sony Oled I owned for a week... It's just luck of the draw man, but to each their own
You bought it in 2015? It’s 2022 time for a new tv anyways. 😂
@@andrewmcallister3780 I have this problem already 3 years ago. Anyway, LG never will buy again. My next is Sony or Samsung
@@happyend9840 To each their own problems, I’ve owned every brand of tv. My LG C1 has been superior and is still superior to 95% of other TVs out there.
Unfortunately this tv is awful for gaming. Shadow details lost, doesn't get bright enough for colours to pop.
You have to adjust the picture settings in game optimizer mode and on your console/pc. I fine tuned mine for gaming and it looks incredible.
