If you learn pure tagalog that's really difficult even for me as a Filipino. But if you learn the modern which is taglish, (tagalog english) it might be easier to learn
Tagalog around Manila are usually Taglish but tagalog provinces like Batangas,Quezon,Mindoro and etc. are deep Tagalog and as Cebuano/Ilonggo, sometimes I don’t understand it specially speaking with the older people. It’s shocks me to hear Tagalog dialect. It sounds cute and traditional tho compare to Manilenyo.

See? Not even loanwords are there..the grammar of Filipino is even more complex using VSO order with tenses and lot of particles within. It’s very far from Spanish.
